About Dr. Jayasree Kesavan
Dr. Kesavan opened her dental practice, Enlight Dental, after eight years of experience working in Manhattan as a General Dentist. Dr. Kesavan’s practice provides a setting where patients can feel at ease, be themselves, and communicate freely based on a trust relationship.
Dr. Kesavan obtained her BDS and completed a Residency and advanced training in Oral Pathology from Dental College Trivandrum at the University of Kerala. She then worked as an Assistant Professor of Oral Pathology at the Government Dental Colleges, Calicut and Trivandrum for seven years before coming to US in pursuit of higher training.
After arriving in the United States in 2001, Dr. Kesavan completed three years of training at New York University College of Dentistry where she received her DDS in 2006. Since then, she has worked as a General Dentist in the New York area, providing dental care to both adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Kesavan’s goal in her private practice is to utilize a holistic approach to dentistry and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment. At her practice, patients can expect an ideal dental office environment, with a careful selection of top quality dental equipment as well as a pleasing décor and ambience.

I've been going here for the past 3-4 years. Dr. Kesavan is very pleasant, thorough, gentle and has great bedside manner. She explains everything before it's done and leaves room for questions. I always leave here with my teeth feeling squeaky clean after a cleaning. I will most definitely be coming here for years to come!

Dr. Kesaven is the modern day tooth fairy. I used to live in fear of going to the dentist, until I met her. Not only is she cheerful and efficient, but she also has such a beautiful spot with windows that reflects her calming presence. She lets you know what steps she is taking and is very transparent about what is going on with your teeth. She made me feel so safe and proud of my dental hygiene progress. Whenever I floss, I think of how she would be proud of me. She is a delight and I wish she could be everyone’s dentist. More people would go. I left a review two years ago after seeing Dr Kesavan for the second time. I was so pleased with her dental work, her bedside manner and the office is so soothing and clean.
I have been going to her since then and I still highly recommend her. She is a wonderful dentist and listens to all your concerns and goes over any procedures that need to be done before starting any work. She is a gracious woman as well as a wonderful dentist. I highly recommend her.

This was probably the best dental appointment I've ever had. I've had great dentists before, but I'm one of those people who is hard to numb and I usually resort to sedation dentistry.
Not only did Dr. Jayasree Kesavan numb me completely before my procedure, she did it painlessly and in a gentle manner checking in on me multiple times. She was efficient, wildly attentive to detail, and just one of the nicest people I've met. As I was leaving the numbing was also wearing off, and within 20 minutes of leaving I was back to feeling my normal self.
I could not recommend her or her office more!
