Jay Patel, DDS, MS is a board certified orthodontist who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws. Dr. Patel provides expert care with a comfortable environment at Moderna Dental Studio in Farmers Branch, Texas. Dr. Patel was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and is excited to serve the community he grew up in. He attended the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) graduating summa cum laude. Following undergrad, Dr. Patel graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with Highest Honors and Distinctions in Dental Education and Research. Upon completion of Dental School, Dr. Patel was inducted in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After dental training, Dr. Patel completed Orthodontic Residency at one of the most prestigious programs in the country, the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, where he served as chief resident in his time through residency. Dr. Patel prides himself on staying up-to date with the latest and greatest treatment modalities for his patients. To provide this, Dr. Patel maintains membership with several professional organizations. Along with being a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, he is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Texas Dental Association. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing the drums, spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing or watching sports. Through and through a Dallas native, Dr. Patel always roots for his hometown teams; Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers, and Stars!
