About Dr. Jim Singletary
Dr. Singletary is originally from the small coastal farm town of Tabor City, North Carolina. He always knew he wanted to be a dentist. In fact, he wrote a book in his 3rd grade art class about being a dentist when he grew up. His mom has it on display back at their home in North Carolina. With his persistent goals of dentistry in mind, he packed his bags and headed south to Bradenton, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree as a 2018 graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he served on the ADA's student division (ASDA) as the District Five Trustee. Representing the dental schools of Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Puerto Rico, he frequently visited Chicago where he advocated for dental students and worked closely with the American Dental Association? (ADA).
He loves that life brought him to the Sunshine State but makes sure to find plenty of time to go back home to North Carolina to visit family. You will often hear him talk of his two nieces (Charlotte and Emma) who have completely stolen his heart. Fun fact: he even shares his birthday with the oldest, Charlotte - March 14! He calls her his ?birthday buddy.? Dr. Singletary lives in downtown Tampa with his 4-year-old mini goldendoodle, Wrigley, who is a part-time employee that you will surely meet soon. When he is not drilling teeth, you can find him traveling and eating at all the good local restaurants - he is a foodie, so give him all your recommendations for both. He and Dr. McCarty have been best friends for many years and are so excited to welcome you to Seaside Smiles.

My experience for a first time visit was great. The staff welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. The Dentist was nice and friendly and listened to me. I will definitely be returning. 10/10 experience

I found the practice to be money-oriented. The surcharge for credit card use was the first I ever encountered at a health care provider. I had to pay it because I had no advance notice of the surcharge and did not have the cash in my pocket.
The pre-exam question list was extensive and I would have preferred to have the opportunity to fill it out at home.
The practice cannot be accessed from the street address advertised by the practice (there is no curb cut or drive to the parking area in the rear). When, on my way out I mentioned this to the receptionist, she said "most people just take the street that runs past the back." I had figured out since there was no other way to get there. When I said I could not have known this on my first visit, I got a sour look.

Everyone in the office was so nice. They listened to everything I told them about what was going on and were patient with me during my x-rays, which ya girl struggles with. They also worked with me for the procedure I need done, since it turned into a more severe situation than I originally thought. I have a few appointments coming up and I normally dread the dentist but I’m not worried about coming back here.

My experience at Seaside Smiles started with a lovely smile at the front desk from the ladies. The assistant greeted me and bought me back, very welcoming. Dr. Singletary took great care of me along with his assistant. He was very professional and listened to any of my concerns. I was very happy with the treatment I received and the teamwork was spot on. My overall experience here at the office was fabulous. I will highly recommend them.

I have a high level of anxiety while visiting a dental office. At Seaside Smiles, the most welcoming staff makes one feel right at home, and in turn calms the nerves and reduces the anxiety level. The dentist was amazing. He was quick and very efficient. Also, Dr. Singletary explained the procedure and let me know exactly what he was doing. The experience was pain-free and overall amazing. I actually enjoyed my trip to the dentist.
