“Amazing staff and doctor! Maria is so friendly and made those X-rays a lot more bearable. She has a really comforting vibe to her. Dr. Magazin was polite, personable, and very knowledgeable about her field. She taught me a lot during my visit! Julesi (I’m butchering it I know) was also wonderful! The front desk staff is efficient, friendly, and get right to the point. Overall, I would and will be going back to this office and recommend it to all of my friends. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and welcome!”

About Dr. Joanna Magazine
Dr. Joanna Magazine has been practicing dentistry at Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) since September 2007 focusing primarily on diagnosing, treating and managing periodontal, occlusal and dental diseases. She has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and is Invisalign Assist certified.
Dr. Magazine has won multiple awards while practicing at GEDC. She received the “Doctor of the Year” award in 2011 and has also received the “Top Gun Dentist” award for years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. She was also awarded the “Best Aesthetic Case” for years 2013 and 2014 both for full mouth smile makeovers.
Growing up in Lakeland, Florida, Dr. Magazine graduated with high honors with distinction from the University of South Florida obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. From there, she attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine on a full academic scholarship. For her post-doctoral program, Dr. Magazine attended the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry where she obtained her AEGD degree.
Dr. Magazine currently serves as a member of multiple organizations including: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, West Coast Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Perio-Prosthetics Study Club of St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry, Pinellas County Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association.
She enjoys spending time with her family and her cat, Little One. She is passionate about Buccaneers football and loves being outdoors.
