“I had an emergency with my wisdom 2 days before leaving the country. With the help of my dentist referring to Root Canal Specialist referring to Dr. Joel Ayon to remove my wisdom tooth within a couple of hours. Dr, Ayon was able to take me on immediately. He was very upfront, thorough on the possibilities what could be the worst case scenarios. The entire procedure with the wisdom tooth removal took under 30 minutes. I was warned about the possibility of the pains in the aftermath in the recovery period.
Long story short, it was beyond my imagination how easy the procedure was and the aftermath of pain was very minimal. Could not have asked for a better outcome. If I ever need to get other wisdom tooth (or teeth), I'm coming back to Dr. Joel Ayon, DMD. Highly recommended! Thank you Dr. Ayon!”

About Dr. Joel Ayon
Dr. Joel Ayon is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and implant specialist. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania as a Dean Scholar and graduated with Honors in oral medicine and community health. He completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. He offers a broad range of surgical services with advanced training in implants, bone grafting, anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and oral pathology. He brings with him a compassionate and disciplined approach, and we are excited to have him join our team. Joel lives in Long Island City with his fiancée and in his spare time he can be found catching a Broadway show or enjoying a walk through Central Park

I had throbbing wisdom tooth pain a couple days before New Year’s, and everywhere else was closed for the holiday. Dolmans Oral Surgery was still prepared to take me in on New Year’s Day for an emergency wisdom tooth removal. That same day, I saw Dr. Ayon, who was very prepared and thorough when it came to explaining my options and walking me through the removal and recovery process. The surgery itself took no more than 30 minutes and was handled with a lot of care. Over the past three days, I’ve been healing while following their instructions, which were made even easier with the recovery packet they provided. Dr. Ayon has also stayed in touch, taking the time to reassure me about my progress and always being available for questions. 10/10 would recommend — and I’ll definitely be back to get the wisdom teeth on my right side removed!

I like many men i their 60’s had let my dental care unattended. I needed some serious help. Dr. Ayon and his staff were compassionate and understanding. Dr.Ayon laid out a very reasonable plan. I walked in feeling hopeless but felt encouraged right away. I had 2 extractions done and they went incredibly well. This is a hgher level of dentistry I’ve never known but so glad I’ve found .
I now feel good about my teeth and more importantly my future dental health.

Dr. Ayon is changing my life one visit after another. I never thought I could feel so comfortable in my life. Dr. Ayon and his amazing staff make all my fears disappear! My visits are painless and relaxing! I cannot thank Dr. Ayon and his staff enough!! Just amazing, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ayon to anyone!!

Great experience! I had my wisdom teeth removed and couldn’t be happier with the care I received. Dr. Ayon was Very professional, patient, and reassuring throughout. Also very thorough with his answers to any questions I had. The staff in general was also very kind. Highly recommend!
