He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) in Newark, NJ, where he distinguished himself as the President of the RSDM Dental Implant Society and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society.
Dr. Bender furthered his education with a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master's degree in Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His dedication and expertise were acknowledged with the 2023 Dental Implant Award from the same university. He also received recognition for his research in prosthodontics, winning the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics Poster Presentation Award. Committed to staying at the forefront of dental innovations, he holds AAID MaxiCourse certification from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Bender and the entire staff are amazing. Dr. Bender explains everything thoroughly and answers every question I ask in a way I can understand. I came for fillings and he explained everything he was doing while he was doing it , he made me feel comfortable and my anxiety disappeared during the work. I will definitely be coming back, I love this office and team!

Dr. John Bender is an outstanding dentist. I highly recommend that anyone reading this go and see him. He has a high level of care and regard for his patients. He has done a fantastic job of continuing and building upon the family practice that I have been going to for so many years.

Every time I visit Dr. Bender & Bender Family Dental I am pleased with the experience. He is very kind and gentle during the appointment, and makes me feel comfortable and at home. He is professional & extremely knowledgeable and skilled in his field. You can tell that he cares about his patients. Whenever I have visited Dr. Bender, he always takes the time to explain in detail to me what he is doing in a way that I can understand and elaborates on all his recommendations to guide me towards perfect healthy teeth. I never feel like the appointment is rushed like I have at other dentists. I always leave with my teeth feel like brand new, and look forward to my next appointments. The practice is family owned and run by great people!
