About Dr. Joohyun Andrew Kim

Dr. Andrew Joohyun Kim is a general dentist practicing in Stamford, CT. Dr. Kim has been providing experienced, comfortable care with the latest techniques and excellent results to his patients in Fairfield county for the last 15 years. Dentistry is always improving and evolving, which is why Dr. Kim stays up-to-date on advancements in technology and minimally-invasive techniques to improve each patient’s experience. Dr. Kim understands the importance of spending time with patients during each visit to carefully listen to their needs and make their visit as comfortable and smooth as possible.
Many patients experience a fear of the dentist that causes them to avoid seeking treatment, leading to further pain. After meeting and speaking with Dr. Kim, patients are relieved to finally feel comfortable and receive the treatment that will stop their suffering. Dr. Kim will attentively listen, develop a treatment plan and offer real solutions each patient will be eager to start.
Dr. Kim received his D.D.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He believes extensive continuing education (CE) experience is important to providing excellent care, which is why he has also completed over 500 CE hours in a variety of topics including cosmetic dentistry, dental emergencies, oral surgery, dentures, laser dentistry, implant dentistry, full mouth construction, smile make over, occlusion, restoration and prevention, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral pathology to name a few.

It took me years to find a dentist that I loved. Not only do I love Dr. Kim but my husband, my coworker, her husband, all love him. He is the dentist you've been looking for. Best bedside (chairside?) manner. His staff is wonderful too, all sweet, kind and genuine. I love going there, I never thought I'd say that about a dentist's office.

The medical staff is lovely and the office is super convenient. I'd give them 5 stars for the bedside manner, but the strangest thing occurred: they didn't see me for a cleaning. I specified all over the intake forms, Zocdoc appt, etc that this was a 1st time appointment for a routine cleaning and at the end of it, I was seen by the dr. but only for a "check up" - they basically took x-rays and said I look healthy. I've never experienced that confusion ever...
If it's my mistake, apologies for the low rating, but honestly nowhere on the confirmation emails or at any time during the appointment did they say I wouldn't be getting a cleaning. I'm disturbed to think I'll be processed as a patient, insurance charged, etc. given they literally just took x-rays and said I look fine.

The woman at the front desk greeted me very kindly. The hygienist Maria has extraordinary bed side manners. She is courteous, friendly and professional. Dr. Kim was very kind and professional. He was also funny which made the experience very enjoyable. Each staff member said it was nice to meet me and they all seemed genuinely appreciative of my choosing them to be my new dental office.

Dr Kim is a delight! Friendly, took his time, and most importantly did NOT take advantage by suggesting I need a ton of work done. Even helped me understand affordable solutions to some issues I have without pressure. Office staff is SO friendly too. Super clean office. TVs at each station to distract you during dental visits. The best dentist I've ever been to! Dr.Kim is AMAZING, he made me feel so comfortable I was so nervous I was sweating! Lol he is very knowledgeable and very thorough. My procedure was fast and painless even down to the local anesthesia!!!! Receptionist is the BEST, sweetest receptionist I've ever encountered. Office is spotless and very nice!! I found my new dentist and will be recommending him to everyone I know!

The front office woman was extremely kind and accommodating prior to the consultation. Dr. Kim explained in great detail, outlining via the X-ray as well as hand drawing out for reference, the work I needed done and the causes (grinding teeth). Afterwards, the front office woman was once again very helpful in explaining the financials of everything (very affordable) and detailed out the scheduling quite clearly.
I would highly recommend Dr. Kim and is staff as I didn't have one negative experience there.

I am very impressed by the friendly atmosphere. Very understanding and sensitive to my personal dental issues. I had a late appointment. In fact I was the last customer. Everyone in the office was kind, professional, and most importantly they did not rush me through the door. The office is state of the art and extremely clean. I have never seen anything like this before.
I cannot speak to the actual service because he has not started the work. However, I feel confident that I will have a beautiful smile again.
