About Dr. Joseph Moussa
Dr. Moussa originally graduated from Damascus University College of Dentistry-the oldest and most prestigious university of its kind-in 1993. He then served two years as a Lieutenant in the Army, performing dentistry in clinics and hospitals. After a successful seven-year practice abroad, he pursued his passion for implantology and cosmetic dentistry in the U.S.
Dr. Moussa was accepted into the very difficult curriculum at New York University Dental School, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed advanced training in Implantology and Aesthetic Dentistry. Upon graduating in May 2003, his professors were so impressed with his skills and passion for learning that they offered him the position of Associate Professor of Implantology in the postgraduate program at NYU.
Dr. Moussa dedicated many hours to training in one of the most prestigious programs on the East Coast for esthetic dentistry. He spent an additional year of training at the Rosenthal Institute in Manhattan, focusing on porcelain veneers and full porcelain restorations. His extensive training and desire to perform the best dentistry possible drive him to stay involved with the university and continually expand his dental knowledge through many continuing education courses. Dr. Moussa stays on the cutting edge with the latest high-tech equipment, ranging from digital x-rays and lasers to digital crown impressions without the use of goopy impression material. His passion for dentistry and compassion for his patients prove to be a very successful combination.

I was seated in a dirty chair & greeted by the dentist who was a woman. Not Joseph Moussa who I booked the appointment with. She said, “what can we help you with today?” So, I said “I’m here for a cleaning & a check up” She responded with “oh, we have you down for a consultation. It’s free.” I told her, that I was here for a cleaning & checkup. She says, “You’re lucky. Our hygienist is in today & she has no one booked right now. You can see her today, but there is a fee you must pay.” I was confused. I have dental insurance that covers this at 100%. she seats me in another dirty seat where there was a sink in the corner with a sign on it that said “broken. Do not use”. I overhear them say in the hallway “she has dental insurance” then, a tech comes in and says he will be taking x-rays. I ask him “Before we do anything, can you please check if I will owe any money?” the front desk lady comes in & says that she has me down for a consultation & not a cleaning. I lost my patience & left.

So far I have a good experience with this place, they are very attentive and considerate, I can only say that good things cost, that is, for those of us who come from Latin America, Dental treatment is expensive in this country, however they have the option of paying in instalments.

It is a wonderful place with a super professional staff where they care about taking good care of you an making you feel good. They are very friendly professionals, my husband had all the treatment done here, two (2) years ago and the change has been spectacular, and I started today and they treated me very well. beautiful staff. Defined in two simple words, professionalism and kindness.

Montclair Dental Spa is one of the best dental offices in the world. They've been extremely attentive to my needs, meeting Dr. Moussa and his team is a true blessing. I recommend this place to anyone that is wanting to change the way they feel about their oral health.

My mother had an amazing experience here at Montclair Dental! She came in determined to build back her self esteem and leave with a new smile! Dr. Joseph Moussa is absolutely phenomenal. They were extremely informative and helped answer any questions or concerns that my mother had. The staff here is very kind, they will treat you like family. Dr. Moussa was great. He was attentive and respectful. The facility had all state of the art equipment. The staff were warm and friendly and informed. I received excellent care and all the information I needed to make a decision for myself A++++.

I would give 10 stars if I could. My experience with monitclair dental spa was easy, pleasant and most of all painless. Dr. Moussa and the entire staff held my hand and made me feel comfortable and supported from my first appointment to my fina fitting. I came in absolutely hating my teeth and in search of help to make me fall in love with my smile once more. With the help of Dr. Moussa I absolutely love everything about my smile! They did such an amazing job holding my hand through the entire process and answering absolutely any questions I may have along the way. From the desk all the way to getting my final set, everyone has been an amazing help.

Omg! This is an amazing place. I came to Montclair dental spa as an emergency with a split tooth, dieing in pain. Dr. Moussa, the senior MD and his amazing team did an extraction and created a replacement (partial denture) for me at a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking help concerning tooth extraction. Montclair dental spa is the place to go.
