Probably one of the best dental appointment experience Ive had. Front desk was so helpful, called me and my referring dentist to make sure they had everything they needed prior to me even leaving to get there. It was an emergency root canal and they didnt want me to have to wait too long so went above and beyond.
Once i got there they were so nice and put me at ease. Very friendly and really made sure I was comfortable the whole time.

An absolute incredible experience during my visit with Dr. Zelig. Never knew root canals were painless, I honestly didn't feel a thing. Thank you Dr. Zelig, I highly recommend.

After completing dental school, Dr. Zelig continued his training at New York University for an additional 3 years post-graduate training in periodontics. He was then accepted into the 2-year program in Endodontics at NYU. Dr. Zelig holds two specialty certifications from New York University and has years of clinical experience.
As a Periodontist, Dr. Zelig is a specialist in all phases of advanced dental implant surgery, bone grafting, Laser Periodontal treatment, and Cosmetic Periodontal surgery. As an Endodontist, Dr. Zelig specializes in Root canal treatment and Root Canal Surgery (Apicoectomy).
Dr. Zelig also holds a permit in intravenous conscious sedation from the New York State Board of Dentistry and is fully trained and qualified to perform I.V. Sedation.
Dr. Zelig is also actively involved in teaching Periodontics & Implant Dentistry as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the departments of Periodontics & Implant Dentistry as well as the Department of Endodontics at NYU College of Dentistry.

This was a terrible experience. They called to confirm my appointment and I told them I only needed an endodontist, and although I made that clear, the office insisted that I had to be seen by the regular dentist. I said fine. I go, the visit was fine, I was seen by both doctors. I needed a root canal, I said fine. They said that they would take my insurance, and gave me a quote, I said fine. 2 1/2 weeks later, 4 days before the appointment they call me to tell me that while the general dentist did take my insurance the endodontist (Dr. Zelig), does not take MetLife and so I had to cover 80% of the procedure. Then, the office accuses me of not know my befits as if I'm supposed to know that one of two dentists sharing would not accept my insurance (after they had already told me that they both doctors would). I said fine, cancel my appointment. Go back to Zoc Doc, add in my insurance information, and the 2nd name on the list of doctors who take my insurance is Dr. Zelig. Call back the office, they, so not politely, let me know that Zoc Doc is wrong and that Dr. Zelig does not accept MetLife. A terrible waste of time and a horrible experience.

Office staff pushed me for X-rays, which I didn't because I did bring my own. Then the staff forced a balance on me which was supposed to be a free consultation. AVOID!

Great visit! Dr. Zelig is very kind ad gentle. Very happy with the way he explained procedure before he began. Was very comfortable. Would highly recommend him to anyone for treatment.
