About Dr. Joshua Ishal
Joshua Ishal, DDS, is a dentist with a focus on dental implants, oral surgery, and Invisalign at Brooklyn City Dental in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. As a Long Island native, Dr. Ishal grew up in a family dedicated to the IT industry. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became well-educated and highly skilled in the tech world. However, Dr. Ishal decided his passion was dentistry and received his dental education at New York University (NYU). He then advanced his skills by completing a residency in advanced education in general dentistry at New York University Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, where he received advanced training in dental implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and endodontics.
With fluency in English, Hebrew, and Farsi, Dr. Ishal is able to serve the culturally diverse population of New York. In addition to providing comprehensive dentistry services, he also specializes in dental implants and Invisalign®. He regularly attends continuing education courses to stay informed of the latest techniques and treatments in the field.
Dr. Ishal is not only committed to his professional endeavors but also to serving his local community. He volunteers his time and expertise to assist those who require support and believes in making a positive difference in their lives. Furthermore, he is married with four children and enjoys spending time with his family.

the service was good but my insurance was not covered. they spent an hour on the phone with my provider and zocdoc should know that my plan was not in fact covered. i ended up paying out of pocket.

The biggest hidden gem in Greenpoint is this place. They have the best dentist - Dr. Joshua Ishal who worked on me for over an hour to get out a long stubborn wisdom tooth. He did it in three separate intervals to take the tooth out to making sure I was comfortable and everything was taken out - perfection requires patience!
I wasn't an ordinary patient. I was delaying treatment for over one year having this wisdom tooth out because I have high blood pressure. I called several oral surgeons and nobody told me it's the bottom number that matters, only Dr. Joshua Ishal. I can honestly say everyone's really nice and kind and caring from the staff to the dentists! Highly recommend them!

The biggest secret in greenpoint is that this place has the best oral surgeon Dr Joshua Ishal. I came to this place with high blood pressure and no oral surgeon told me its the bottom number that matters, but Dr Joshua Ishal. I waited over one year to have this wisdom tooth removed. It took him over one hour to removed a long stubborn wisdom tooth making sure he got the whole tooth out. I had extractions before and the dentist always left a piece but not Dr. Ishal. I can honestly say I am doing just fine.
The whole staff is kind and concern. They are all wonderful people and I am happy they are in my neighborhood .

A few hours before my visit, the doctor's office contacted me because they had two cancellations before my appointment and advised me I can come in earlier. I arrive an hour early. Went for an annual check and wisdom teeth pain. To my surprise Dr. Ishal was willing to remove 2 wisdom teeth and was able to within 45 minutes. I have no pain, little swelling and was given direct instructions to follow.

I was happy to have gotten the extraction that I booked the appointment for on the same day. He made sure my mouth was sufficiently numb and my extraction didn’t hurt at all after the first 2 hours. The wait time was very short and the appointment times are convenient. I will definitely return.

Walked in today at 11:41 am with pain in my tooth as well as fear and uncertainness. I filled out the paperwork, got my wisdom tooth extracted and out by 12:05. I felt so calm and soothed and Dr. Joshua Ishal's sense of humor made the process seem mindless because it was painless. Thank you Dr. Ishal & Brooklyn City Dental for a great experience.

My teeth had become very sensitive and sore after a filling, I was incredibly worried there would be an infection or anything that would require an extraction. Dr. Ishal was so nice and reassuring. He was able to figure out what would be the solution to an issue the X-ray didn't even show. It's been about a month now and my teeth are not as sore anymore! Highly recommend him :) Thank you Dr. Ishal!

I brought my 11 year old daughter yesterday to take out her 2 baby teeth. She was nervous but Dr. Ishal calmed her down. He was amazing. All she was telling me in the car is how much she loves this dental office. She said that she would tell all her friends about this place. Where do you hear an 11 year old saying that? Even the staff in the front was amazing. Will be coming back :)

Brooklyn City Dental (Formerly Dental Made Easy) is hands down my favourite dental provider I've ever had. I started with a check up, was hand held through the process of wisdom teeth extraction I had avoided for years, and was walked through financial assistance for Invisalign. I love that I can schedule and get reminders through text with the amazing and warm front desk staff. Everyone I've encountered makes my 6 week check up visit something I look forward to, especially because they prioritize meeting with the same dentist for each visit. I couldn't recommend this office more highly.
