Knowing her passion towards dentistry early on in her career, Dr. Kim enrolled in New York University for a 7-year accelerated dental program joint with NYU College of Dentistry. After earning a BA in Biology at NYU, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at NYU College of Dentistry with honors in research. Dr. Kim then completed a general practice residency training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Afterwards, while working as a general dentist in Manhattan, she completed a post-doctoral associateship at the department of pediatric dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry, working largely with the special needs population. Dr. Kim then completed her 2-year pediatric specialty training at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York and served as Chief resident, during which she honed her skills in all aspects of pediatric dentistry. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Kim values making each dental visit a pleasant and less fearful experience for children by building trust and providing gentle care. She emphasizes prevention and raising awareness of good oral hygiene for children and their parents. Dr. Kim stays up to date with the latest research in pediatric dentistry and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and American Dental Association (ADA). Outside the office, Dr. Kim enjoys going to the gym, practicing yoga, hiking, playing tennis or golf, going to museums, and exploring new restaurants with friends and family.
