About Dr. Jung-wook Byun
Hello, and welcome. My name is Dr. John Byun, and I am committed to providing high-quality, personalized dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and went on to receive my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001. With more than 20 years of experience in dentistry, I provide a full range of dental services, including extractions, fillings, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, dental implants, dentures, and partial dentures.
Throughout my career, I have remained dedicated to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in dental technology and treatment techniques. My goal is to deliver the highest standard of care while helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.
What matters most to me is building genuine relationships with my patients. I believe that visiting the dentist should be a positive experience, not a stressful one. I strive to create a warm, friendly atmosphere where patients feel comfortable, heard, and cared for. Many of my patients tell me they feel like they are visiting a trusted friend rather than coming to a dental appointment, and that is exactly the experience I hope to provide.
I also believe in taking a comprehensive approach to oral health. Whether you need preventive care, restorative treatment, or cosmetic dentistry, I develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to your individual needs and long-term goals. My focus is not only on addressing immediate concerns but also on helping you maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for years to come.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two children. I also enjoy traveling and watching sports. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your best oral health.

First time patient and I am extremely satisfied with my visit. Dr. Byun was really thorough had treatment done the same day; I was really nervous but Dr. was really patient and made me feel relaxed. Chris the hygienist did an awsome job with my cleaning.

Had a really great experience at Bristol Dental Group. Dr. Byun answered all my questions. when receiving my cleaning by Chris the hygienist, he made me feel really comfortable and explained step by step of the treatment that he was performing.
