About Dr. Karen Torres
Dr. Torres is currently accepting new patients starting at age 10 and up.
Dr. Karen Torres was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1986, she relocated to the San Juan area in Puerto Rico. Dr. Torres completed her Bachelor's of Biology at UNC Greensboro in 1994. In 1999, she graduated ?Cum Laude? from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
After graduating, Dr. Torres began her dental career working for the Tri-County Community Health Center in Dunn, NC. It brought her great joy helping a community in need of dental care. After a few years there, she was given an opportunity to continue her dentistry in Raleigh, NC. Being a little closer to the school she loves, and the area she loves living in, this was a great opportunity. She started her private practice on March 5th, 2009, in the MacGregor Village shopping center in Cary, NC.
In 2011, Dr. Torres' husband and business partner, Chad Stall, joined the office full time. Together, they have worked hard to bring their patients the best levels of patient and customer care. The dental practice brings a great deal of happiness to their lives. Seeing how dentistry can help bring a smile back to someone's face is the most rewarding. They also find a lot of joy outside of the office. They are proud parents of two cats, Vader and Sidious, and love to dance, be outdoors, travel, and visit with their families.
Dr. Torres's caring personality and ability as an excellent communicator result in optimal personalized dental care. Now that's something to smile about.

I made an appointment for a regular teeth cleaning. The dentist's only interest was upselling me on a deep cleaning and refused to do the regular 6 month cleaning until I agreed to the very expensive deep cleaning.

I was under a tight time constraint and needed to get back to work for a meeting. They watched the clock, worked quickly, and made sure I was out of there in time. Doctors/Dentists tend to not show a lot of respect towards their clients' time so I really appreciated that my appointment started right on time and they made every effort to get me out by the time I requested.

Dr. Torres and her staff went out of their way to make sure my autistic son and I were comfortable, as well as tending to my youngest daughter with crayons and coloring books while big brother had his teeth checked. At first, I was very apprehensive about how our visit would go since my son does not do well with new places, but his fears were calmed by the patience and love shown to him by the staff.

Dr. Torres and her staff were amazing. Kind, patient, answered all my questions explained everything. They listened to me, did not judge or scold me for my long absence from a dentist, and eased my anxiety. I highly recommend this practice for high anxiety patients and/or patients embarassed by their long absence from a dentist.

Dr. Torres is awesome. She's warm, friendly, and accepted me as a new patient immediately. I experienced NO wait time and her staff was equally helpful and personable when I arrived. I was also able to get an appointment very quickly, which was important because I was experiencing some pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Torres and I'm happy that I found her through ZocDoc. She made a great first impression and I look forward to seeing her as my new dentist!
