About Dr. Karthilde Appolon
Growing up, cosmetic dentist Dr. Karthilde Appolon was no stranger to dentistry and all that it entails. In her eyes, dentistry encompassed two of her passions – art and science.
No surprise, then, that after attending New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Appolon, a native New Yorker, decided to become a cosmetic dentist in the heart of Manhattan.
Since 2003 she has been providing New York City dental patients with unmatched, hands-on preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. She is a kind and caring cosmetic dentist who puts patients at ease. Dr. Appolon is dedicated to her dental patients, who benefit from her vast experience, precise dental skills, and state-of-the-art dental technology. Her boutique dental practice near Columbus Circle offers flexible hours to meet your schedule.
In addition to her work in her dental office, Dr. Appolon is also an active member of New York’s dental community, and is a part of multiple dental organizations, including the AAWD (American Association of Women Dentists), and serving as president elect and board member of the GNYACD (Greater New York Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry). She has been a long-time member of the New York State Academy of General Dentistry (NYSAGD), and in 2019 the NYSAGD installed her as president.
Dr. Appolon is also dedicated to constantly improving her dental practice. In part, she does this with the latest dental technology like dental lasers and NuCalm, an advanced neuroscience approach to relaxation. However, she also focuses on becoming the best cosmetic dentist with continuing education, including studying at LVI, the world’s premier institute for cosmetic dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry. Dr. Appolon is an Invisalign Preferred Provider because of her extensive training and experience with the procedure.
In recognition of all that she does for her patients and the community, the Consumers’ Research Council of America recently named Dr. Appolon “ONE OF AMERICA’S TOP DENTISTS.

Best dentist experience I’ve ever had. From the entrance of the beautiful office, the service desk assistant, the cleanliness of the office to my consultation with the Doctor. The examination of everything was so thorough and very well documented and explained. Doctor Karthilde Appolon, was so professional and knowledgeable about everything. She and her staff made me feel at home , welcomed and importantly comfortable. I know a trip to the dentist can be quite scary but NOT this dentist office visit. I would recommend booking your next appointment ASAP. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve seriously never had a dentist like Dr. Appolon. I feel like I’ve been robbed of proper dental care prior to becoming a patient in her practice. In the first visit, she was able to tell me things about my health that I didn’t make her aware of prior just based on her assessment of my mouth and teeth. I’ve never experienced such a knowledgeable and thorough examination that was communicated to me so eloquently & digestible. I’ll probably never go to a different dentist again and I wish I found Dr. Appolon sooner!

Dr. Appolon is magnificent. This was my first visit. I was so impressed by the approach she and her team took to get to know me beyond my teeth, from a more holistic health point-of-view that went far beyond a typical dentistry! In all of my years of going to a dentist, she most certainly stands out as second to none. Her manner is extraordinary without any doubt, but so too is her practice and approach. If this is a first visit, you will be in for so much surprise, who knew a visit to the dentist visit could be about your total well-being?!
To add to the marvel, after my visit we met again via Zoom and with a coordinator. This was to review what the initial examination and x-rays showed, and create a plan together. This level of care and partnership is truly astounding!!
Dr Appolon is just really great! She is so smart and so talented, so engaged and committed to her patients. Plus, she's really cool too!
I can't stop recommending Dr Appolon and her practice! AMAZING!
