About Dr. Katherine Panopio
Dr. Katherine Panopio is a Bay Area native who loves working within the San Francisco community. Her passion for dentistry began in childhood, inspired by recognizing the profound impact a dentist can have on a person’s quality of life.
Dr. Panopio strongly believes in patient-centered dentistry and strives to provide excellent, comprehensive care by familiarizing herself with each patient’s unique personality and dental needs. She prioritizes clear communication and patient comfort to ensure her patients understand and are involved in every aspect of their dental treatment.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. A member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), San Mateo Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Panopio is devoted to learning and implementing the latest advances in dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys attending fitness classes, swimming, and going on long walks with her golden retriever, Nellie.

I went in to get my permanent retainer fixed. Which is my fault. I should have gone to an ortho but the office said permanent retainers was in their wheelhouse so I trusted that. The first time they “fixed it” there was two huge lumps on the back on my teeth no effort was put into blending the glue into my teeth and I could still feel the wire. When I made another appointment (free of charge which was nice) because of my discomfort they attempted to fix it again with no success. No matter how many times I told them it didn’t feel right they kept insisting that’s just how a permanent retainer feels even tho I had had one for years without discomfort. After some tries I just told them to take the retainer off. They sat me in the chair and went at me with their drill. They cut my gums, bits of the dried glue was flying out of my mouth. They were rushing through it. I was traumatized . Don’t go here for ortho work. I mean duh but hard lesson learned.

Great, compassionate dentist! And a gorgeous view of the city skyline while you sit in the chair. And the little snacks and drinks in the lobby? Easily the best dentist office I’ve ever been to!

Highly recommend! I’m usually reluctant to visit the dentist to some anxiety but my visit with Dr. Panopio was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. She did a wonderful job of ensuring I was comfortable through the visit and provided a lot of helpful information regarding my dental health questions. I got my braces removed 2011 and have neglected to wear my retainer from discomfort and as result I have some teeth that have shifted. I’ve been researching invisalign as a solution and I’m grateful to Dr. Panopio who spent time to answer all my questions and concerns. I’ll definitely be visiting her for Invisalign treatment soon!

When I visited this office, the staff was very welcoming and checked me in immediately. After a short wait (patient in front of me), Dr. Panopio greeted me and brought me in for my checkup. I was a bit nervous as I hadn't been to the dentist in a while but Dr. Panopio was nothing but kind and attentive. Dr. Panopio carefully explained my x-rays and recommended how to proceed next. I was very comfortable asking her about any confusion or questions because she was very thoughtful in answering or clarifying all of them. I would highly recommend Dr. Panopio and Dental Aesthetica to anyone looking for a dentist. Thank You Dr. Panopio!

I had such a great experience with Dr. Katherine! I came in for a cleaning and usually I find the procedure uncomfortable but Dr. Katherine was very gentle and thorough. As a new patient she informed me of my gum health and took scans of my teeth for future reference. It was very informative and comforting. I felt like she really cared about my dental health which was very informative and reassuring. I'd high recommend anyone looking for reliable dentist to come see Dr. Katherine!

Dr. Panopio really took her time to make me feel comfortable by explaining the entire process. She has great bedside manner and did not rush in her quality of work. She was friendly, personable, and caring. I enjoyed my visit with her and looking forward to coming back to her again in 6 months.

Visiting the dentist is my least favorite thing to do therefore it was no surprise I was very anxious at the thought of having an appointment with a provider I haven’t seen before. Despite my reservations, I felt immediately at ease when I met Dr. Panopio! Dr. Panopio has a calming aura and is very knowledgeable. She answered my questions in great detail and provided very thorough care. I look forward to my next visit with her.
