About Dr. Katie Chou
Dr. Chou grew up in Orange County, California, alongside her parents and two younger sisters. Her early exposure to volunteer dental outreach planted a lasting interest in children’s oral health and public education. She chose pediatric dentistry because she finds joy in caring for young smiles , making dental visits educational, interactive, and comfortable from start to finish.
As a pediatric dental specialist, Dr. Chou focuses on prevention, early intervention, and habit-building for lifelong oral health. She believes each dental visit should leave children confident with parents fully equipped to support healthy home routines.
She earned Doctor of Dental Surgery (DMD) degree from NYU College of Dentistry. She completed her pediatric residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York to become a true specialist in children’s oral health.
Her renowned “tell-show-do” approach, combined with gentle preventive care, is designed to reduce anxiety and help children build trust. She works with families to promote healthy habits at home and educate parents so they can support their child’s smile long term.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Chou enjoys golf, exploring restaurants, traveling, and discovering new cuisines.
