“Great first time visit. I was having gum issues and sensitivity issues that were addressed and the dentist & hygienist made sure to be mindful of certain areas when cleaning, which I appreciated. Everyone I interacted with was very well-mannered and considerate. Dentist made sure I understood everything, and was easy to talk to. I got scheduled for a filling super fast, fast replies from the office regarding insurance & easy to schedule. Front waiting area section of office was welcoming/didn't feel cold & sterile. Good place to go for people who may have dental anxiety. ”

Dr. Katrina Baeverstad welcomes you to “In the Loop Dental”! Our peaceful, modern office offers an environment which makes our patients feel comfortable and at home from the minute they walk in the door. We take great pride in our customer service and truly enjoy caring for patients as a team.
“I love that every day I get to help my patients improve their smiles. I do this by listening to my patients’ concerns and goals for treatment, and then helping them understand their options. My goal is to help patients take care of their immediate and long-term dental needs. Advances in techniques and technology now allow us to help our patients achieve optimal oral health and esthetics more effectively and comfortably than ever before. I love practicing at “In the Loop Dental” because we are a patient-centered practice with dental professionals working together as a team to provide patients with individualized, attentive care. We believe in comfortable, quality dentistry, and we aspire to increase the longevity of our patients’ teeth.”
Dr. Baeverstad is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois Dental Society and the American Dental Society. She lives with her adopted greyhound Maisie, a retired racer, in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. In her free time she enjoys running, cycling, traveling, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Everyone in the office was so kind! I have a lot of dental anxiety and I never felt judged for it. The girls were so accommodating. Everything was explained very thoroughly without making me more nervous. I feel like I’m in very good hands!

I really appreciated my experience it was probably my best with a dentist. I don’t like going to the dentist and this was overall a pleasant experience. The staff and Dr. Baeverstad were all helpful and did a great job listening and communicating. All were friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that the scheduling was quick and easy and they were helpful with the insurance verification and estimating cost up front.

This was my first visit with Dr. Baeverstad, and I haven't been to the dentist in a while. She made me feel comfortable. She was very thorough and came up with a treatment plan for me, as I have several issues to address. Her dental assistant and receptionist were also very friendly and professional. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend her.

Hands down the best experience I've had with any dentist office. Dr. Baeverstad and her staff were so friendly and informative. I was able to book a same day appointment and they were able to take care of me quickly. I felt very comfortable and assured that I was in great hands. Highly recommend!

Dr. B appeared to have a lot of experience, as opposed to new young dentists beginning their career. I'm happy to have met Dr. B as my dentist.
I wanted to leave a review for "Abby". She was thorough with my cleaning even though it was a bit tricky with the wire I had after the brace. I appreciated her taking her time to clean hard-to-reach corners that are often overlooked.

I've been coming here for several years and love all the doctors and staff. They take time to listen and explain everything, try to make you as comfortable as possible, and don't try to pressure you, which I very much appreciate.
For instance, I have a chipped crown, and since it makes no contact with other teeth, they agreed to keep an eye on it instead of trying to talk me into replacing it. My last dentist was always trying to replace crowns, some that he put in only a few years prior. Yikes!
I totally trust In The Loop and would highly recommend.

Dr Baeverstad took over the practice of my former dentist and this was my first visit with her. I was very pleased with her welcoming manner, skill, expertise, professionalism and pleasant personality. She did an excellent job repairing bonding on my front tooth and the end result was even smoother bonding than before. She also discovered an issue of a gum-line cavity under a bridge, which apparently, had been previously been unnoticed diagnosed in X-rays, examination and a recent cleaning. I am pleased after this first visit to be under her care.
