“I am a very nervous patient however, Dr. Zand was so pleasant and informative that I was able to trust him immediately. When I went for my procedure, it was just as he had described. He completed my difficult root canal in the time he estimated and everything went well. He has up to date equipment and processes that I didn't experience with my older dentist. Sometimes change is absolutely GREAT. While I hope not to need another root canal; if I do, DR. ZAND IS THE MAN!!! ”

“Had to have my first root canal and it had been years since I got any dental procedures done. I was extremely nervous but everyone at the office made me feel at ease. Dr. Zand is amazing. He made me feel comfortable from the consultation to the end of procedure. He would let me know what he was doing throughout the procedure, check on me to see if I was feeling any pain, let me know how much time was left, and even joked around a bit. They have massage chairs and they give you noise cancelling headphones for you to listen to any show that you want. I did not feel any pain, not even the anesthesia shots. Today is my first day post procedure and I feel no pain at all. For everyone that is afraid of a root canal, its not a big deal. Thank you Dr. Zand and staff for making my first root canal experience a breeze. ”

About Dr. Kaveh Zand

Dr. Zand specializes in surgical and non-surgical Micro-Endodontics (root canal therapy) and has a passion for preserving the natural dentition. He understands that root canal therapy can often be a stressful prospect for many patients. Therefore, when he opened District Endodontics, he did so with the goal of providing patients with cutting-edge technology in a comfortable and relaxing environment to allow for the highest standard of care. “As my patient, I will listen to you, answer your questions, explain my treatment, and let you know exactly what to expect throughout the whole process.” Dr. Zand earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland and completed a Residency in General Practice at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. He holds a Certificate in Endodontics from Nova Southeastern University and a Master’s in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. He is certified by the American Board of Endodontics and holds active memberships with the American Association of Endodontists, the DC Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, trying new cuisines, playing tennis, and spending time with his Golden Retriever, Chloe. PLEASE READ BEFORE SCHEDULING: *** Most endodontic procedures will require CBCT imaging for proper diagnosis and treatment. This may not be a covered benefit by your insurance company. If you have any questions, please contact our office. *** While we make every effort to provide same-day and emergency treatment, this is not always possible depending on the condition of a tooth. Specifically, with teeth that have had a previous root canal, a pre-treatment consultation will be necessary first to evaluate the condition of the tooth and provide you with accurate information and fees.

Dr. Zand is great! He & his dental hygienist (Sorry I? don’t remember her name) are both so nice & easy to talk to. Both care so much about the patient experience that they make the office as comfortable an environment as possible. For example, he has the most comfortable dental chairs you’ll ever sit in. He was able to diagnose the several issues I? was having immediately and know exactly what to do, when, & why. He also offered to (and did) contact several contact referrals for me to best treat my conditions.

I highly recommend Dr. Zand. As a dentist it was difficult putting my tooth's faith into someone elses hand, however Dr. Zand did an amazing job from start to finish. He is a highly skilled professional who is gentle and caring.
