About Dr. Kelly Katsura

Dr. Mika Katsura is a board certified pediatric dentist and registered nurse. She grew up in the East Bay and has been with Aloha her whole life - assisting and shadowing her dad, Dr. Neil Katsura. She attended University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA (Go Bruins!) and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. After graduating, she completed nurse residency training in the emergency department at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Mika returned to the Bay Area to attend UCSF School of Dentistry. During her dental studies, Mika continued to work as an Emergency Room pediatric nurse at UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland. She then completed her Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU Langone Hawaii. She is currently on medical staff at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and serves as a part-time instructor to pediatric dental residents. Outside of dentistry, Mika loves to do anything involving outdoor adventures! She loves to ski in the winter and enjoys surfing with her husband and daughter.
