Dr. Chen was drawn to dentistry because he saw it would give him the unique opportunity to enhance people’s lives by improving their health and appearance at the same time. He also enjoys working with his hands every day. When it came time to choose his career, dentistry seemed like the obvious choice. Dr. Chen began his college career in his native China, graduating from the West China University of Medical Sciences before immigrating to the U.S. and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to general dentistry, he completed a five-year residency training in orthodontics.
