About Dr. Kimberlie Yun

Dr. Kimberlie Yun graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in biology and a business minor. Afterwards, she received a degree in dental laboratory technology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio which solidified her passion to pursue dentistry as a career. She went on to complete her doctorate studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where she graduated top of her class in clinical rotations and patient management.
Dr. Yun has extensive training in general and cosmetic dentistry and is passionate about providing the best treatment to her patients. She is highly trained in rotary endodontics (advanced root canal therapy), oral surgery, crowns and bridges, and pediatric dentistry. She is also Invisalign® certified. She believes in constantly improving her services by integrating the latest breakthrough technology into her office. Dr. Yun is also very comfortable in treating kids so the entire family can receive the smiles they deserve.
In her free time, Dr. Yun enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She has a passion for cooking and recreating recipes passed down from her grandmother. Feel free to drop on by; her big smile and warm friendly approach will immediately put you at ease.

The office took an appointment then called to reschedule to better suit their calendar.
Hygienist was good and pleasant but the Dr’s bedside manner was bad. Did not seem to be interested in addressing my problem but went on and on about selling me a night guard(not covered by insurance) after I explained I tired them all. During check out, I was asked if I wanted to pay for treatments I didn’t receive. Could not stop to think that they wanted to oversell and would not like to return.

Really excellent dentist, hygienist and front desk staff. Got to start appointment early, office helped coordinate documents from my prior dentist out of state and were able to schedule follow up appointments quickly. Not to mention, really excellent dental care. This was a wonderful experience.

I sent in my insurance the week before as instructed by the office. They said they were going to verify treatment eligibility. I did not hear back from the office so I assumed everything checked out. I asked again when we were checking in that the insurance was fine, they said yes. It turns out that Metlife is out-of-network and they failed to communicate this to me (despite it being listed as in-network on Zocdoc). They tried to give some excuse of how it was in limbo for a while and that they promised to update Zocdoc as soon as possible. I checked today and it is still listed as being in-network. I only found this out after I double checked my coverage the day after to make sure that I was getting billed properly.
Dr. Kimberlie Yun was very preoccupied while she was looking at my X-rays (the only part of the appointment that she was involved with!). She was worried about the dental hygienists turning over the rooms so they could seat more patients. She was also worried about her friend being seated, I'm assuming she didn't want him to wait. Very unprofessional. I understand the concern around wait time for other patients, but when you're interacting with a patient who is in the same room as you, you should focus on that especially when you're recommending additional procedures based on the X-rays.
Hard to trust this practice after my experience. I will not be returning and I would not recommend this place to others.

Office staff and the hygienist were very pleasant. I cannot say the same for the dentist. I switched my kids to this office because it's closer to my house and we were looking for a dentist where the whole family can go to. My mistake. Dr. Yun may be good with adults but she did not give any attention to my kid. For each child, she spent at the max 1 minute per child. Nothing was explained to me what was going on with their teeth and what work needed to be done. I had no idea what was going on. My older son got sealants today and needed to come back for fillings later. My younger one needed to get sealant and needed to come back as well. She did not tell me any of this and I found out at the check out. They took x-rays for my older son on our way out. She did not even see his x-rays and they will probably charge for this service. We made an appointment for 3:30pm and 4:15pm. We spent more of this time waiting. My younger son was sitting in the room waiting most of the time. This was our first visit since the pandemic and I had a lot of questions. I didn't even get a chance to ask her any questions because she had no time for us. I don't understand why docs will double and triple book. And then they make us sign the form that will charge us penalty for late cancellation. If pediatric dentistry is not worth her time then she should not accept pediatric patients. I do not recommend her for pediatric dentistry.
