About Dr. Kristin Davidson

**At your new patient visit, we’ll take time to assess your gum health, and if everything looks healthy, we’ll complete your cleaning the same day. The doctor and hygienist will also review your exam with you and talk through any additional care that may be needed.** Dr. Kristin Davidson is a Richmond native who is excited to provide quality dental care to her community. Dr. Davidson began her undergraduate education at the University of Mary Washington, where she received the American Chemical Society POLYED Award in Organic Chemistry. Dr. Davidson received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and was the 2014 recipient of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award. While in her last year of Dental school, Dr. Davidson served as a teaching assistant, mentoring underclassmen; she also participated in rotations at dental clinics across the state to provide dental care to underserved populations. Dr. Davidson enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves getting to know her patients. In her free time, she enjoys being with family, running, volunteering, and entertaining her mischievous cats.

I had a mixed experience here. I booked with this office for a dental cleaning as a new patient. It was advertised as such. When I came, they were aware that I wanted a dental cleaning but instead told me they could not do it on my first visit, and I needed to schedule another time to come back. I told them I had already taken the morning off and would not be able to come back and they kindly fit me in for a cleaning. Unfortunately, it was one of the most painful and uncomfortable cleanings I had ever done, and I was worried it was a response to me being upset about the scheduling issue. After being applauded for taking care of my teeth, the dentist came in and said I needed to get a filling done. I have never had a cavity before and was told I didn't have one less than 6 months ago by another dentist. I was warned about dentists who overly eager to fill cavities so they can have additional appointments with a patient. I will be getting a second opinion and will not ever return here.
