Dr. Leila Azad has lived all over the world and brings a global perspective on patient care and health. Committed to both local and international philanthropy, she has been a leading participant in aid and fundraising organizations such as the UCSF Homeless Clinic, Operation Smile, and the Canadian Cancer Society.
Familiar with diverse cultural backgrounds, she has a natural talent not only as a practitioner but as a trusted professional who listens to and addresses the specific concerns of her patients. A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, Dr. Azad is very active in the dental community. Doctor had condescending tone. Went in specifically for one treatment but received only an exam and had to schedule another appointment for the actual service, which was quick and felt rushed. Expensive

Dr. Azad and her team are the best. I had a crown procedure done today with Dr. Azad, and it was simply the best dental experience I’ve ever had! She took great care to ensure I was comfortable and she was very efficient and precise in her expertise. The office is very nice and super high tech. You can’t beat the view and the staff is wonderful. It’s really an outstanding practice.

From the day one, Dr. Azad had put me on Invisalign monitor showing before and after how your teeth will look like, trying to prove how wrong your teeth are. I did not ask them for it. I came for cleaning not a sale pitch. I declined.
I am very regretful that I did not stop going there earlier, instead of letting her give me such a stress and offense.

Dr. Leila was knowledgeable, empathetic, and thorough when it came to my dental concerns. I initially went to her for a 2nd opinion and left a new patient. The hygienist’s and staff were friendly and helpful. My only note is that while pictures of my teeth were being taken, the hygienist had touched several items with her gloves and then touched my mouth, when ideally a new pair should have been used. Other than that, wonderful experience :)

Dr Leila was amazing and all of the staff were so great. She saw me right on time. I had a dental emergency and they did everything quickly and efficiently. Another superb visit with Dr. Azad and team. Everything went smoothly. The chairside staff were comforting, and the receptionists were informative. As usual, Dr. Azad worked with surgical precision during my cleaning and kept me updated on everything going on in my mouth. Watching her work on me and communicate with her staff is really quite a thrill..I don't think I could ever see another dentist.

Dr. Azad knows what she is doing. If you have great teeth and financially have had the ability for dental care over the years then she is a good choice.
I was in SEVERE pain and while she did listen to me, she was not kind or empathetic. I even told her at one point that I didn't appreciate being judged. She said she wasn't being judgmental and that she was asking questions to gage the current issue. It is ALL about tone and she didn't have a kind one.
The Endontist that she recommended inaccurately confirmed my request for a date change on my appointment and then called me a few hours later asking me why I wasn't there yet.
I finally researched alternative options for both a dentist and an endodontist that were in network with my insurance with very satisfying results. The endodontist that I saw in Orinda was phenomenal. The office staff were friendly and engaging. The Dr. was kind and professional.
Go to this dentist if you have a tough outer shell.

Easy to book and can fill out new patient forms prior or quickly when you check in. Lovely waiting room with tea, water and even biscotti (individually wrapped of course). Entire staff is friendly and understanding. Quick in and out for cleaning if you have no problems. If you do, we’ll the doctor is patient and will take the time to discuss it with you.

So, as the personification of Murphy's law... I hit obstacles at every turn in my life. So even though my insurance provider had some conflicting information that meant Dr. Azad was not in-network, she still focused on listening and working with me — they were willing to do the legwork to find out what the out-of-network damage to me would be before moving forward, which was something I hadn't experienced before (my experience to date with other providers has been more of the, "you figure it out and come back to us when you're ready to pay" vibe, unfortunately). This was very much a sigh of relief. Thank you, Dr. Azad + Lupa (I believe that was the name of the super-efficient person who assisted with intake/registration/insurance information).

I was pretty embarrassed to have to admit it had been many years since I saw a dentist, but for my first time back I am so glad I saw Dr. Azad. As a new patient they did a lot of diagnostics on my whole mouth like x-rays and analyzed my bite, etc.
Dr. Azad was so friendly and has a wonderful personality. She explained what she recommended I do, in terms of treatment, for the issues I had and repeated it twice. I really appreciate that she was not pushy about anything extra and her office works with insurance, which was important to me.
On top of everything, the exam room walls were floor to ceiling Windows looking out at the bay, fidi, and nob hill. It actually made my experience a little better! :)
