First impressions: the waiting room was very charming. I appreciated the tea, water, and small snack offerings on the cart, and I was quickly shown inside. I came for a dental cleaning, which consisted of x-rays, a dental consultation, and cleaning with polish. I appreciated the gift they gave me at the end as well. Overall, a lovely office with friendly doctors.
This was the best dentist appointment I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and explained thoroughly. The amazing views from the chair didn't hurt either!
The team was very professional and efficient, in helping me discuss my options for treatment and prevention, as well as flexible in working around my deadlines and insurance policies!
Everyone is so helpful and nice. I had a great experience even though I’m very frightful of the dentist. From the front desk helping check and understand my insurance , to the assistants in the back making sure everything is clean and efficient, to Dr. Azad who had a gentle touch and made me feel at ease. Thank you again to the whole staff at Dental Aesthetica.
A friend recommended Dr. Azad after I was having trouble choosing a dentist online and I'm happy they did. I got an appointment and booked online through Zocdoc, but then had to re-schedule via email and her staff were very easy to work with. I went in, got xrays and a treatment plan, and had another appointment to get the treatment just a few days later. Dr. Azad was very professional, explained the procedure and let me ask questions, and took care to be sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The appointments were also very timely, I did not feel that I was waiting around for anything when I was being treated. I didn't have to sit in the waiting room more than 5 minutes each time I visited, and the location is convenient if you work downtown (the great view from the office is also a plus!). Would definitely recommend Dr. Azad if you need a new dentist, you're new to the area, or you are unhappy with your current dentist.
I'm glad to find Dr Leila Azad. A dentist who can trust her work and her words. She did three crowns for me and I'm very happy with them. Her receptionists would assist you step by step about both treatment and pricing.
I really appreciate how Dr. Azad takes the time to, not only explain everything she sees and what's she is doing, but also shows you what she sees using cameras, mirrors, etc. great chairside manner and very thoughtful.
Great experience from the moment you walk into this nice office with perfect view, nice decoration and warm welcoming atmosphere. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. Their hygenist (Catherine) is very nice and gentle with your teeth. Dr. Azad is extremely professional and talented. She spends a good amount of time assessing your teeth and discussing the options and well engage you in decision making and treatment planning. When it comes to procedures she is very gentle and meticulous and cares about the outcome being perfect. Overall, the entire experience is extelremely pleasent and I am pretty happy with the results whenever I leave her office. I highly recommend her to any of my loved ones.
I find Dr. Azad very professional and thinking in the best interest of her patient. I had my fillings done through her office recently. Although there was no apparent issue with the filling, I started experiencing some sensitivity afterwards. During my follow up visit, she carefully examined the teeth and explained to me what could cause it. She did some minor adjustment to alleviate it and also gave some suggestions on how to take care of it for faster healing. I would recommend her office to anyone who wants good professional service.
The doctor started grinding down my bottom teeth with her drill to try and make a crown on a top tooth fit better. She didn't ask my permission and I'm very disappointed in this. My teeth will never go back. I was really rooting for her and now I feel like she's untrustworthy.
I had to have a massive amount of work done (all upper teeth replaced with implants) and thanks to a lifetime of dental trouble, I'm terrified of dentists. Dr. Azad is patient and kind, and has been great about explaining things and laying out all my options for each phase of treatment. She also knows how to give novacaine shots as painlessly as possible (as many as I've had in my life, I'm an expert on this). Would recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Azad was professional, efficient, and friendly. I have tried a few dentists in the area and not been impressed, but I really liked Dr. Azad. I look forward to seeing her again!
Dr Azad and her dental hygienist assistants were very professional. The only thing I can point out for area to improve in is delicacy of care during semi-major non-cleaning procedures, be it filling, crown, root canal, extraction, etc. I had at least one of these procedures (insist on remaining anonymous) and endured a fair amount of pain continuously during and after my visit. The hygienist was particularly forceful during the procedure, which can be understandable in some cases but there must be a better approach if you have to use all of your upper body strength to get something accomplished. This may have just been a 1 in 1,000 instance. But just offering points to improve on.
Great office location and knowledgeable staff
Dr. Azad did a great job explaining everything to me that she was going to do before doing it. She really seemed to care about my experience there and that I understood her treatment recommendations. At the end of the appointment they also did a great job talking me through the pricing for treatment and different options for booking. Making sure to point out what was more important to get done vs what was more optional. All in all I felt very taken care of.
Good experience. Very professional, nice offices. They were thorough and I appreciated that they laid out all the facts without pushing to upsell things.
Despite scheduling this last week, I received an email this morning from the Dentist asking if I could move my appointment from 3:30 to 3 (note: my Zocdoc apt was for 3:45). I stated I wasn't able to and would prefer to keep the original time.... which evolved to 3:30 apparently. Multiple times during the appointment the dentist made passive aggressive comments about me not being able to come in early, "what do you do? Makes sense that you're too busy to come in early." I was hoping to get a teeth cleaning today, and the dentist said, "we don't have time b/c you couldn't do an earlier time." I received more than a few comments on "how cumbersome it was for me to be there at 3:30 b/c they normally close at 4." If this was such an issue, why did they accept the appointment? As a result of my painstakingly late appointment, I now have to go back for the cleaning I hoped to get today. This wasn't a great experience.
I recently moved to San Francisco and was nervous to find a new dentist that I could trust. I'm so happy to have found Dr. Azad. She is so thorough and explained everything in detail with pictures and x-Rays to make it easier for me to understand. She's also personable and fun to talk to! My appointment was great from when I walked in to when I walked out. The staff is all very professional and friendly. The hygienist was also great! Very thorough and best of all GENTLE!! I will definitely recommend Dr. Azad to my friends and co workers. Thanks Dr. Azad for everything! Can't wait for my next appointment! Oh and the view of the office is Amazing which is a plus!
Clearly communicated what her assessment was of my teeth. Her team was very patient and extremely attentive to my needs. It doesn't hurt that the office has a beautiful view of the bay.
Overall a great visit! Leila and her staff made sure to walk me through their entire process, all while making sure I was comfortable. She explained the need for certain future procedures and mapped out the rest of my visits for me clearly.
I was in town for a business trip and had a small emergency with a filling. Results and professionalism did beat my expectations. So if I'm in town and need to see a dentist will definitely go to Dr. Leila Azad.
It was great! Dr. Leila took the time to explain things to me and Karla was super sweet and welcoming. She seems to really have my best interest in mind because she was very dilligent about checking insurance. Thank you!
I had come in for a last minute appointment due to a sore on my mouth and after too many years off not seeing a dentist. Dr. Azad was extremely patient, gentile, and thorough with her examination. I left with an amazing deep cleaning and clear advice that was not self-benefitting for her as I was here for only a brief stay. I would highly recommend Dr. Azad for her wonderful bed-side manner and clarity of explanation and advice, as well as the rest of the practice for the beautiful space and kind/proficient support staff.
Excellent all around! Incredibly professional and also personable. One word: wow!
Only dentist I will see in the bay area.
Dr. Azad was very good. She uses great technology. Knowledgable staff. Like that they'll help you understand what you may pay for future appointments if you need something more major like a filling or surgery.
Best dentist experience I've ever had by far! I'm definitely never been the biggest fan of the dentist, but that is no longer accurate after seeing Dr. Azad. I arrived to my appointment pretty nervous (haven't seen a dentist in a year,) but within minutes feeling relaxed and at ease laughing with the receptionist. She offered me coffee or tea and if there was anything I needed to let her know. I barely had time to check my email in the waiting room before I was in the chair! The X-rays were painless and comfortable answering any questions I had. I then met Dr. Azad and immediately felt I had chose the right dentist. She was so warm and kind. Most importantly she was so gentle with my sensitive teeth, (I've left the dentist with bloody gums in past experiences.) She answered all of my questions I had and left the chair feeling very satisfied. When rescheduling my next appointment I was shocked at how available they were to my convince and crazy work schedule. Can't be more pleased with my experience and HIGHLY recommend seeing her! Have to say for the first time I'm actually excited for my next appointment.
Best dentist I've ever been to. They really took the time to make sure I understood everything and knew what I was being charged for.
Best experience I've had with a dentist. No wait time, very friendly beautiful and professional office, great explanation of insurance, and excellent dental work. Will be back
Dr. Azad is great. During our consultation she spent time with me going through my X-rays and test results. Her staff is amazing. They make you feel comfortable.
Having been there for the second time, it was super easy. I was let in right away. Welcomed by Dr. Azad and then prepared for everything. She was very thorough to explain my situation and my options. Everything was smooth and easy.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The office was clean and the view was fantastic. Dr. Azad was prompt and professional. As it was my initial appointment, she explained and walked me through the procedure. She provided recommendations that would benefit the longevity of my dental health. She valued my time and showed genuine care for my well being.
Great staff, the Doctor was extremely thorough and helpful. She walked me through everything, educated me, and answered the many questions I had. The office staff was on point and very friendly. Oh, and you just. Can't. Beat. The. View!
I went to Dr. Azad a couple weeks ago and had a truly mixed experience -- I'm laying it out here to hopefully give a fair representation that can be helpful to others. I booked Dr. Azad for a cleaning because she is one of few dentists available on ZocDoc in SF. Pros: 1. Easy to book through Zocdoc 2. Was very pleasantly surprised by the office -- the interior is beautiful as is the view 3. Reception was AMAZING. I was late and I heard the receptionist call to ask a later patient if they would mind shifting back a bit. They also helped find me a phone charger, provided very helpful and comprehensive information on insurance, etc.etc. The reception here is honestly the best I've ever encountered at any doctors office 4. Office felt very professional - seemed to have all the top-of-the-line technology Cons: 1. I scheduled a cleaning... and walked out 1.5 hours later with a full set of x-rays, photos, some dental advice... and NO CLEANING. When I asked why I wasn't receiving a cleaning, Dr. Azad said the reason for this is that they never provide cleanings to first-time-patients... that they have to evaluate whether the patient needs a regular cleaning or a deep cleaning. If this is the case - then a) they should make the patient aware of this upon confirming their initial appointment And b) anyone working in a professional job should probably be aware that they will need to take two separate times off work to get a simple cleaning. I've moved quite a bit in my life and as such, have had a lot of dentists - I've never encountered this before. 2. I felt like I was being upsold. Dr. Azad suggested that I get Invisi-line, rip out 3 old fillings and get new ones, and get my remaining two wisdom teeth out. I believe Dr. Azad tries to provide the highest quality of care to all her patients, and I recognize that all her recommendations to me had some merit. However I felt like I was being offered every nice-to-have procedure -- which made it difficult for me (with no dental background) to determine what I should get done vs. not. My best support for this is the fact that I've gone to 3 other dentists (excluding her) in the last 24 months (a function of moving so much). I've explicitly spoken with the others about matters of wisdom teeth, fillings, etc - and the only procedure also recommended by another dentist was replacing 2 old fillings. 3. I was put-off by how many x-rays they actually took and re-took. I don't want my body exposed to that degree of radiation, and it made me uncomfortable when the assistant retook 3 in the same position.
Very patient, very cautious and ensuring I understood everything. She also prioritized my care according to my condition without trying to get more business for herself which is a good relief.
They seem to upsell you on everything. I definitely paid more than I expected on every visit, the work was ok, but you'll get surprised by charges, I'd not recommend. Their work is fine, but the billing get surprising and I hadn't built the trust to believe that every recommended procedure was necessary.
Frustrating. Firstly, before my first visit I filled out online forms on ZocDoc, then received seven pdfs with an ask in email to fill out three (unclear which three, so filled out them all, with often repeated information). Secondly, I took an 8AM appointment (first of day) hoping to avoid delays. Wasn't seen by Dental Assistant until 8.30AM, then after 10 minutes of images, sat for 10 minutes. At 8.50AM Dr. Azad arrived from next door room. She was attentive, good manner and gave good advice. As is so often the case, the lack of understanding of what impacts patient perceptions on a visit (respect for time/punctuality) almost led to me walking out, even though the ability of the practice is probably high. I will go back for this aspect and hope the timing improves.
Dr Azad is very friendly and knowledgable. She was very thorough and had a treatment plan for my gums, which were not in the best shape. However this practice is definitely run like a business more than anything else. I had procedure after procedure tagged on, and the costs were not immediately evident to me. When I told them I was moving out of state, they tried to rush me into doing a procedure without giving me enough time to think about my finances or my schedule.
Best dentist I've ever had. Genuinely cares about her patients. Thanks Dr Azad :)
Dr. Azad was great. I just moved to SF and she made me feel very comfortable. She shared with me things about my teeth that no dentist ever has. She made great suggestions but wasn't pushy. I really enjoyed my first visit and I'm glad I've found my dentist!
I saw Dr. Ogawa and he was a very good, straightforward dentist. Kind, patient, and friendly.
Wonderful dentists and staff, had a great first visit and will continue to come here in future. Thank you all :)
This was the most painless dental visit ever. Dr Azad immediately made me feel relaxed and was very clear in her instruction. Also the reception staff were quiet helpful and cheerful.
The staff is extremely friendly and made a huge effort to get me in on the same day. The office is beautiful and has an amazing view. This was my first time seeing Leila Azad, DDS and am so happy to have found my dentist.
Dr Azad was AWESOME!!! I have used 4 different dentists in my life, and she was by far the best. Patient, kind, straight forward, and overall extremely professional. I highly recommend her! her staff was awesome too!
Very expensive and they try to get you to buy into add ons like special mouth rinse, toothbrush, etc. But the office is super clean, with a great view, and very professional staff. You get what you pay for (in a good way). Also, I recommended a friend and they gave me a free movie ticket!
Leila and her assistants are really friendly. The office is clean and I feel like I've gotten great care from them!
Dr Azad was very intelligent and had great bedside manner. She recommended a cleaning, filled my first cavity, and helped me get an appointment to see a gum recession specialist. I didn't like the gum recession specialist who was a little brusque, but I would definitely return to Dr Azad if I still had the same dental insurance.
She was incredibly nice and helpful
Dr. Azad was very thorough, professional, and took the time to really explain the areas I need to work on in order to improve my overall oral health. Her office staff was friendly and courteous, while providing me all necessary details regarding my insurance capabilities. See you for my next appointment. Thanks!
A little pushy on procedures, not certain if needed since my previous dentist never mentioned them.
She was great and very thorough! I think her clinic is more expensive than others though.
