About Dr. Leonard Kundel
Leonard Kundel, D.M.D., is a 1999 graduate of Tufts University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following a year of residency at Montefiore Medical Center and several associateships, he established a private practice in Stamford, Connecticut. He has focused his expertise on advanced aesthetic rehabilitation, comprehensive periodontal management, facial pain, TMD/TMJ therapy, sleep dentistry, and general dentistry.
Due to his awareness of the mouth/body connection, Dr. Kundel practices an aggressive, state-of-the-art approach toward treating chronic oral inflammatory diseases known to increase risk factors for common medical problems. As the current medical-legal standards of care shift to mandate multidisciplinary management of compromising medical conditions, Dr. Kundel has created strong alliances with, and works closely with, many physicians in the regional medical community to help them elevate their care of patients to these new standards. His purpose is to build a bridge between the medical and dental communities to benefit patients and to help doctors avoid the problems associated with failure to diagnose and treat important medical diseases related to the presence of chronic oral infections-the emerging “Oral–Systemic Connection.”
In recent years, Dr. Kundel has undergone several paradigm shifts that have allowed him to treat people more effectively not just intraorally but systemically as well. This change is not possible, however, without the input of a patient's physician. It is being shown again and again that collaborative efforts between specialists bring the best results. In the case of dentist/physician collaboration, the results are practically miraculous.

Dr. Kundel came highly recommended from a referral. I knew I could trust him to do the tongue, cheek, lip tie release on our 2 week newborn. The front desk receptionist is the sweetest and made sure we came in prepared. She explained the procedure really well and followed up afterwards on how our newborn was doing.

I don't like going to the dentist, but it was time to do what I had to do, and actually it wasn't bad, I actually felt pretty comfortable even though I was in a for a power clean.

I had a great experience at Dr Kundel's practice. The facilities are great and modern, and Dr Kundel is very precise and caring. He did the teeth exam but also cleaning himself which is not something you see at a lot of practices. Would highly recommend.

Dr Kundel spent an exceptional amount of time to discuss my entire health history. No other holistic dentist has done that. We also discussed the advantages of the ALF appliance, DNA alliance, and other methods for palate expansion as he's with with many of them. He's extremely knowledgable and will patiently answer any question.

A little more expensive than other dentists, but he practices natural therapy as much as possible and does not make unnecessary cosmetic recommendations like so many dentists do. He does offer all services, but I don't feel pushed into doing anything that isn't very necessary, for myself or my kids. I appreciate that.

The visit was great, the office was very clean and I think Dr. Kundel is one of the best dentists I had ever seen. The scheduling was very easy, the wait time almost non-existent and the entire procedure was painless. I haven't experienced any pain or discomfort since all those procedures.
