Dr. Shao went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Toronto. During her dental training, she was actively involved in student leadership through the Dental Students’ Society and participated in international outreach, volunteering in Grenada to provide dental care to underserved communities. She moved to New York to complete a General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Health (Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn), where she gained advanced training in comprehensive dental care. Known for her compassionate and gentle approach, Dr. Shao is dedicated to creating a comfortable, patient-centered experience while delivering high-quality, personalized treatment. When not in the office, she can be found in the Pilates studio, training for half marathons or exploring new restaurants!
