I was in and out, Dr Cheng took care of my needs.

I didn’t find anything wrong with the medical care per se (office is a little disorganized, but employees seem well-meaning), but this is definitely a ‘revenue maximizing’ practice, which I did not appreciate.
After basic preventive appt, they scheduled me for a follow-up visit. At the follow-up, the cost presented was much, much, much more expensive than it should have been (ZocDoc weirdly won’t let me post the cost/procedure, but it was excessive).
Apparently my insurance agreed, because even though my dental insurance is supposed to cover 80% of basic services (fillings included) I was presented with a copay for over half of this amount. Again, this was in-network.
Worse, the office only presented this cost to me *after* I had already arrived. They should have known it would be a surprise/incorrect, and should have reached out in advance so we could mutually determine path forward, vs. surprise me with it on treatment day.
Poor tactics all-around, and I’m quite frustrated.
