About Dr. Lindsay Alimena
Dr. Lindsay Alimena has always been passionate about two things: building genuine connections and helping people feel their absolute best. Her own experience with braces as a teen sparked a lifelong love for orthodontics and today, she channels that energy into creating confident, healthy smiles for patients of all ages.
A former Division I gymnast and team captain at the University of New Hampshire, Dr. Lindsay graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating at the top of her class. She was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and is the recipient of numerous academic and clinical awards recognizing her excellence in patient care. Dr. Lindsay completed her orthodontic residency as Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and proudly holds distinction as the only Kois Recognized Specialist (Orthodontist) on Long Island, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary, evidence-based care. Dr. Lindsay is especially passionate about early interceptive treatment, focusing on a child’s full development - breathing, growth, and function, not just their teeth.
Dr. Lindsay is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge of orthodontic innovation and patient care.
