A free consultation is offered for Invisalign/Clear Aligners and Braces treatments ONLY. We DO NOT accept appointment's on zocdoc for any other reason. All other appointments (retainers etc.) will incur a standard consultation fee. We do NOT repair permanent retainers. Also, please be aware that having orthodontics is not a given for dental insurances. Confirm that you have
A) Orthodontics in your dental plan.
B) Any age limitations for orthodontics(some plans only cover dependents up to X years of age, whether you have dependents or not)
C) The lifetime maximum for orthodontics.
Dr. Lindsay B. Stearn is a friendly and attentive orthodontist who prides herself on making patients of all ages feel comfortable and happy with their beautiful smiles. She brings the latest in techniques and training to her practice from New York University College of Dentistry and Montefiore Medical Center Department of Orthodontics. Advanced techniques such as digital records (no more messy impressions), and digital radiographs are used for Invisalign and orthodontic cases. In her state of the art practice these techniques are the norm.
In addition to treating patients with traditional metal and tooth colored braces, Dr. Stearn treats patients who need orthognathic surgery as well as those who desire Invisalign, Invisalign teen, and cosmetic Invisalign. She is always happy to develop a treatment plan to fit your individual needs however small or large they may be.
When she is not working, Dr. Stearn enjoys traveling, exercising, and walking just about anywhere in NYC. So if you see her on the street, don’t forget to say hi!

Nice and small office. The staff was friendly. I did feel slightly rushed but that could be because I was running behind. However, I did offer to come back if they couldn’t see me.

My experience with Dr. Stearn was great! I was a little nervous about taking my son to get checked for a significant under bite because he was still on the young side (8) and a bit scared and I never had braces or aligners so I had no idea what to expect. However, within the first few minutes of stepping into the office I knew I was in good hands. First, the office was clean and bright, the staff was very friendly and Dr. Stearn saw us right on time. She was friendly and really connected with my son, which made him feel much more at ease. After a quick assessment and x-ray, Dr. Stearn thoroughly explained the issue and walked us through various treatment options. We chose the least invasive method to start which did not involve braces. While ultimately we graduated to braces to accelerate the movement, I really appreciate how Dr. Stearn reviewed several courses of treatment and included us in the decision making process. We felt equipped to make good decisions based on Dr. Stearn’s information and we really appreciate how she was willing to find a course of treatment that was a great fit for our situation and budget.
I was very impressed with Dr. Stearn and would definitely recommend her for anyone looking to improve their smile!

I brought my son to see Dr. Lindsay for braces. She is very warm and understanding, I felt like she really took the time to understand not only what I was looking for, but to make sure my son felt comfortable and that his concerns were addressed as well. She clearly has lot of knowledge about different treatments as she made sure we understood all of our options and helped us choose the best path. The office is nice and modern and most importantly clean! The staff is so friendly and helpful and just added to our experience there. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I wish I could honestly give more than 5 stars. I was extremely impressed with the treatment I received from Dr. Stearn and the staff. Dr. Stearn is absolutely amazing, and I will absolutely be returning for a new retainer.

Dr.Stearn and the staff are wonderful! I needed some minor adjustments and was interested in learning more about Invisalign. The team was very transparent and helpful in the consultation, making the decision to move forward with treatment very easy. Making appointments is easy and you never have to wait. The staff is always friendly. Their hours are great, especially if you need to schedule around work hours! Can't wait to be back for my next visit!

I originally booked the Manhattan office through ZocDoc but they called and said she would be in the Brooklyn office that day. The Brooklyn office is really dingy - it feels like the DMV. A nurse warned me about sitting in the consultation room chairs because they are falling apart. I came in only to replace a lost plastic retainer and the doctor saw me in a timely fashion but I felt as if she was trying to sell me Invisalign. She said they only have 2 retainer options for at least 6 times the amount I paid at my previous orthodontist. I will not be returning.

She was able to see me for a last-minute consultation on a Friday afternoon. The office is clean and modern, and she was really attentive to my concerns. I was able to get an accurate picture of the work I would need, and she was able to provide me with a variety of options. I'm still considering my options, but the consultation experience was awesome! I would highly recommend a visit with her if you are considering orthodontic treatment.

Designer Braces is a professional but yet a very cheerful bunch. Despite the circumstances of having to visit, it is always a quick and enjoyable experience. The staff is really very nice. Dr. Stearn is honest and you can really tell her best interest is in the patient.
