Dr. Lisa Nava Cohen is a best-in-class dental surgeon and board-certified endodontist. She specializes in diagnosing and treating tooth pain and tooth damage, whether from decay, disease, or injury. When you come in for a dental visit with Dr. Cohen, you will experience her caring demeanor, professionalism, and commitment firsthand. She is dedicated to the ideal treatment of each patient, and that means treating the person as well as the teeth! Dr. Cohen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from SUNY Stony Brook in 2005, then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System. She practiced as a general dentist for several years both in the United States and abroad, where she excelled in many areas of general dentistry and benefitted from the exposure to diverse patient populations. After choosing to pursue specialty training in endodontics, Dr. Cohen returned to the Veterans Affairs and was once again privileged to care for our nation’s veterans. She obtained her certificate from the Manhattan VA Endodontic program and continued on to become a board certified endodontist. Dr. Cohen is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontics and a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She believes in incorporating the latest research and technological advances into her practice of dentistry. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ariel and their five children at their home in Passaic, NJ.
