About Dr. Lloyd Klausner

Dr. Lloyd Klausner grew up in Merrick. He attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Klausner completed a General Practice Residency Program in Dental and Oral Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. He then successfully completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. While serving as the Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Klausner served as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he instructed the medical students in Head and Neck Anatomy and advanced dissection techniques.
Dr. Klausner has been in private practice in Midtown New York City since 1991, and maintains admitting and operating privileges at several area medical centers in New York City. He had previously served as the Co-Director of the Advanced Training Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, a Level I Trauma Center.
Dr. Klausner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of the American College of Dentists, Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a Fellow of the New York Academy of Dentistry. He has given numerous continuing education presentations at the local and regional levels.

Always a great experience. Zero wait, the receptionist and med techs/assistants/nurses are always so friendly and sweet and really go above and beyond to know the patients and try to make things as easy as possible (checking and billing to insurance on your behalf). Dr. Klausner is fantastic -- makes the effort and is thorough in familiarizing himself with patient history, reviewing it and addressing any concerns with you before treatment to ensure your comfort. My visits are always honestly a pleasure and treatment has been life-changing in providing TMJ relief!

The staff was so friendly, comforting and kind. I was so nervous to go in but I’m so glad I did. Before my visit the receptionist checked everything for me and made everything so smooth. They took me in immediately and the entire visit with tooth extraction was around 45 mins.
Dr. Klausner has incredibly GENTLE hands. Esp great if you hate needles likes me. Very thorough and takes his time. He explained everything to me before and during procedure. He made sure to do everything to my comfort and listened to all my concerns. He genuinely cares about the patient. I didn’t feel any pain during my tooth extraction.

Doctor Lloyd is awesome! I had recurring issues with my jaw and wisdom tooth. He was able to address the issue instantly and ease the pain right away. Just wish that the receptionist would quote me prior to having the procedure done but overall, great work from Dr. Lloyd!

Dr. Klausner was extremely kind and explained everything to me. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed and I was very nervous about the procedure (especially because I couldn't open my mouth). Dr. Klausner and his staff were skilled at easing anxiety and I would recommend this oral surgeon to anyone who is afraid of the oral surgeon.
