“I haven't been to a dentist in years and I have bad teeth cleaning habits, so I was pretty nervous for the appointment. Dr. Tanzil was very kind, never judged me, and asked me for my priorities before deciding what type of care to give me during the appointment. Both her and the technicians were very clear about explaining what was wrong with my teeth and what they were doing to fix them. When it came down to the dental work itself, Dr. Tanzil and her assistants were spectacular! I am a bit afraid of needles, but when I got injections in my mouth, I could not feel them at all! I've had many painful fillings before, but this was my first root canal, and it was almost entirely painless. Check in and checkout was very simple, and Dr. Tanzil made sure to go over everything with me before I left. The receptionists were also very nice and helpful. The office even called me the next morning to check in on how I was doing. Overall an incredible experience!”

About Dr. Lucia Tanzil
Dr. Tanzil has been practicing in the San Jose area for over 20 years, serving families from San Jose and surrounding communities by providing quality dental treatment and educating patients on how to preserve their natural teeth for as long as possible. She graduated from Trisakti University School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1987. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and the Santa Clara Dental Society. Her goal is to protect healthy smiles and motivate patients to care for their teeth and gums, all while building a trusting doctor-patient relationship. She always prioritizes her patients’ best interests when recommending dental treatment.
Dr. Tanzil says, "I truly enjoy doing direct composite veneers, cosmetic crowns, as well as bridge work. While the majority of these treatments are cosmetic, it makes me feel ecstatic to give my patients a new smile and have them leave my chair smiling with confidence."

Dr. Tanzil is incredibly kind and actually cares about her patients! Genuinely. She read my email at midnight and booked me the next morning when I was worried about a tooth crack. I was blown away by her, totally trust her and her work, and feel blessed by the way she goes above and beyond for her patients. I live hours away now, but it's worth the trip to come back to her for dental work!
