About Dr. Mahdiyeh Shahpasandzadeh
Dr. Mahdiyeh Shahpasandzadeh, known as “Dr. Maddie,” graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Kerman University of Medical Sciences in 2008. She was consistently a top dental student and was ranked first by the dental faculty for outstanding dedication to academics, patient care, and research. She also received a first-place prize for her research presented at the annual congress of dental students.
Dr. Maddie completed her advanced program at Columbia University in New York, receiving training in Aesthetics, Implantology, Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and becoming laser and Invisalign certified. She then pursued a General Practice Residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she cared for patients with complex medical histories, developmental disabilities, and geriatric medical complications. She provided care during rounds and on-call shifts with responsibilities equivalent to those of a first-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at NYP.
Dr. Maddie is an enthusiastic, career-oriented, and talented dental professional with extensive knowledge of dental care processes and procedures. She has a proven ability to ensure that first-rate care is provided to patients and families. Her smile makeovers are at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry, and she is committed to improving her patients' smiles by utilizing the highest standards of modern esthetic dentistry.
She enjoys cooking, playing piano, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her husband Soorena, family, and friends. She speaks English and Farsi.

My husband and I ended up having different experience at this office. My experience was good since I didn’t undergo any procedure other than regular cleaning. My husband had to undergo root canal and filing of multiple cavities and his experience was significantly bad. Multiple appointments since several appointments were scheduled at 5 PM which led to either hasty procedure or follow-up visits. Even after undergoing everything in the last 6-8 weeks, he is in moderate pain / sensitivity. We have lost confidence in this set-up to provide relief in his particular case. I personally found Dr Maddy really nice and relatable, but may not visit the establishment again.
