About Dr. Majid Jamali
Dr. Jamali is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After obtaining his doctorate degree from Tufts University in 1995, he attended the dental anesthesiology program at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey. During this unique opportunity in his training, he performed more than 1,200 general anesthesia cases. This experience has given him a solid foundation for the administration of anesthesia and pain control for patients in our private practice. Few surgeons in the country have completed this additional training.
Dr. Jamali started his career as a general dentist and dedicated 9 years to patient care. His pursuit of excellence was manifested in his cosmetic dentistry cases that were completed during that period. These rewarding cases prompted Dr. Jamali to take his career a step further so he decided to become a surgeon.
Dr. Jamali completed one year of surgical internship at Downstate Medical Center followed by four years of residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, one of the largest level one trauma centers in the country. During his residency, he received extensive training which included rotations through internal medicine, anesthesia, general surgery/trauma, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology.
The complexity of the anatomy of the face is what continues to inspire Dr. Jamali as he combines his artistic ability and appreciation for aesthetics with medicine. Whether it’s pathology, trauma or reconstructive surgery, Dr. Jamali gets incredible satisfaction from positive patient outcomes.

I was seeking an oral surgeon for an emergency tooth extraction, and chose Dr. Jamali based on the amazing reviews. It was a pleasant (as pleasant as that can be!), professional, and quick experience. The doctor explained everything to me and listened when I was explaining my situation. He didn't rush me, he provided options and was overall friendly and professional. Procedure was quick, and he made sure to check in regularly regarding my comfort. I would see Dr. Jamali again for another procedure such as this.

Dr. Jamali removed 3 of my wisdom teeth. The surgery was seamless and I barely had any pain during recovery. They healed much faster then expected and is a testament to his skill and confidence. He is gentle and soft spoken, I would highly recommend him for any tooth extraction.
There was some confusion in the paper work after making an appointment through zoc doc. It's worth calling and making sure your appointment is confirmed.

Dr. Jamali is FANTASTIC!!!!! 10 stars!!! I have never been sedated for anything and was a little nervous, he will make you comfortable, I promise . I came in to have two wisdom teeth extracted, literally in and out! I remember getting a needle in my arm and then waking up.....NO PAIN AT ALL!!! I was prescribed medication but needed none, I had NO SWELLING, to be honest, this man's hands are so gentle you don't feel ANYTHING. All I felt was a little sore at the extraction area. I was sent home with 1 gauze which I never opened because I did not have ANY bleeding.. I was able to eat solid foods in 2 days being very careful. I highly recommend Dr. Jamali if you care anything about bedside manner, cleanliness, and technique......this man really has a gifted talent for surgical procedure with little to no pain.

They were very nice and respectable. He educated me on my options and gave me time to make my own choice. Unlike other dentist that I've been too I didn't feel rushed and pressured into make a decision that would benefit their pockets. I would go back if I had too but I hope not cause he's a oral surgeon and I would hope to not have surgery or a tooth pulled again.

Dr. Jamali extracted four of my 13 year old daughter's permanent teeth (making room for and working around her braces) He was excellent! He let us remain in the room with her while she was being put under and then we were excused for the procedure. He came out 8 minutes later and said it was all done. We were astounded! She came out of the anesthesia shortly after that and we were able to take her home within an hour. He was gentle, very professional and calm. I highly recommend this oral surgeon and thanks to Zoc Doc and other reviews, we chose him for this sensitive surgery.

After reading the great reviews, I decided to get my wisdom teeth removed. I went to their website and completed the initial paperwork and filed my insurance cards, which was really eco-friendly and efficient. Dr. Jamali and Nannette and Melissa were all great and put me at ease. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed without any swelling and all within 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

Dr. Jamali has the hands of God! I had 4 wisdom teeth that needed pulling, 2 of them that were partial/full bone. He advised me to have them just all done at once to get it all over with. I was scared especially since its been over 10 yrs since my last dental visit and I had heard an array of wisdom tooth extraction horror stories from many friends on their own experiences. But during our initial consultation, Dr. Jamali was very comforting, assuring and took the time to explain everything in detail which put me at ease & willing to follow his recommendation. The day of the procedure, he made sure I was relaxed and personally, gently put in my IV and made sure I was totally sedated before he started. I didn't feel a thing during or even after I woke up! AND NO STITCHES!! I also had no major facial swelling, no major unbearable pain and only slight bleeding that stopped after a few hours. He also gave me a detailed typed set of care instructions that came in very handy! The day after, still no swelling, major pain or bleeding, only a bit sore and a bit of discomfort but the prescription ibuprofen took care of it and i only needed it for 3 days. Considering the extent of the procedure, the results far surpassed any mercy miracle i had prayed for before going in! I am extremely happy w/ Dr. Jamali's work and care and would recommend him to anyone anyday! I'd also like to mention and give credit to Dr. Jamali's assistant, Nanette. She also went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and took the time to lay out the procedure and deal w/ my coverage and scheduling of my follow up! Outstanding professionals this pair!
