I can't recommend Dr. Arroyo at ADA, based on my visit. I was hoping to establish care with her as a new patient, but I waited over half an hour only to be told I couldn't receive a cleaning if I didn't consent to x-rays. I'm pregnant, and I hadn't spoken to my OBGYN about x-rays, so I requested we stick with a basic cleaning and circle back about x-rays and more in depth treatment at a later date. Dr. Arroyo—who'd not introduced herself and seemed rushed in addressing me—ended up poking around in my mouth for one minute and told me I simply had to do x-rays if I wanted any sort of cleaning. I left after sitting there for over an hour and receiving nothing but confusion. Maybe it was kind of an off day for the office? But there was poor communication all around, and I will not be returning.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Arroyo to a friend. This was my first time seeing a dentist since having a mental breakdown, and I knew I would have a lot of cavities. I was expecting to be shamed but Dr. Arroyo and her staff were incredibly kind and understanding. She took the time to explain everything to me, and I’m looking forward to future appointments with her.

Felt great after my visit with Dr. Arroyo. She was able to explain the fillings I needed on my X-rays, which I greatly appreciated. She was thoughtful and patient. Looking forward to my next appointment!

Had a great experience with Dr. Arroyo. I haven't been into a dentist office in a while, but as soon as I went in, Dr. Arroyo explained everything in detail and was able to address my concerns. She was very patient and caring. I can't wait for my next visit!
