About Dr. Marc Gainor
Dr. Marc Gainor has been in the private practice of dentistry for 33 years. Dr. Gainor received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He then completed a post graduate General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center in 1982.
Dr. Gainor is strongly committed to continuing education. He has completed the prestigious Pankey Institute restorative continuum, the Spear Institute mastery continuum and has taken advanced coursework at the Dawson Academy, and the Strupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry. In 1987 he became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry: this recognition represents over 500 hours of post-doctoral education as well as successful completion of a written exam given by the Academy. In 2006 he was awarded the title of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, the highest distinction conferred by the Academy. Less than 2% of all dentists nationwide have achieved this honor. Dr. Gainor has completed over 2400 hours of continuing education since completing his residency.
Dr. Gainor is very involved in organized dentistry and loves teaching. He has been appointed a Visiting Faculty member at the Spear Institute at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, and he travels several times each year to Arizona to help teach other dentists advanced concepts of restorative dentistry. Dr. Gainor has presented numerous educational programs on occlusion (bite), TMJ dysfunction and orthodontics to his colleagues at local dental societies. He is currently General Chairman of the Greater New York Dental Meeting the largest Dental Convention/Exposition in the United States. He served on the Board of Trustees of the New York State Academy of General Dentistry and also served as Secretary of the New York County Dental Society. He is the Immediate Past President of the New England Masters Study Club and is the Co-Director of the Rockefeller Center Study Group.

I typically dread going to the dentist but the team here makes the experience one to 100k forward to. The staff is warm and friendly and the office is extremely well run.

Amazing service from the front desk to the hygienist. I had a broken crown and Dr Gainer was able to help me out, he explained to me step by step what was needed. Highly recommend!
