About Dr. Maria Kwak Myung
Dr. Maria C. Kwak, DDS, was born and raised in Paraguay. She received her first dental degree from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción in 1999, followed by a certificate in Public Health in 2000. Upon arriving in the U.S., Dr. Kwak earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree through the competitive Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 2009. She enjoys all phases of dentistry but especially building relationships with patients while working to improve their oral health. As dentistry evolves at a fast pace, Dr. Kwak is eager to enhance her skills and stay up to date by continuously attending dental education seminars. In fact, one of her long-time goals is to obtain a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires 1,100 hours of credits. She is married to her wonderful husband of 17 years, Richard, and they are blessed with two girls who are currently just enjoying being kids. Dr. Kwak is fluent in Spanish, Korean, and English, and she feels humble to be able to communicate across three different cultural backgrounds. She welcomes you at the Doraville, Duluth, and Norcross locations.

I absolutely loved my experience here. I walked in and they welcomed me by name. I wait for about 5 mins before I was called back. The staff was so friendly and super helpful assisting me understand my insurance coverage and setting up future appointments. I texted my bf during my apt just to let him know how much I loved this place. I think I’ve found my dental home. Thank you all for making this adulting thing a little less stressful.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years and the staff at this office made me feel right at home. I was seen quickly, my insurance was accepted, and the staff were friendly and not judgmental, which I’ve run into before at the dentist. I’ll be returning here again.

I visited Dr Kwak during the COVID-19 outbreak. My filling had fallen out and my regular dentist refused to see me, indefinitely. I was able to make an appointment with Dr Kwak. Along with her staff, Dr Kwak was very professional and took every precaution possible to keep her staff and myself safe. Dr Kwak quickly assessed the issue, asked relevant questions and completed the procedure quickly. She provided just enough numbing so that I was not in pain, but not so much that my face was numb the rest of the day (which is what normally happens when I get a filling, as I am rather small). I am so impressed, that I am switching my normal dental care to Dr Kwak's practice and my husband is considering doing the same.
