Dr. Nunez practiced dentistry in Ecuador for 10 years before moving to the United States, where she attended New York University College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990. With 30 years of experience, she has dedicated her life to providing excellent dental care. By taking the time to educate each patient, Dr. Nunez not only delivers dental services but also builds lasting bonds with those she treats. She is known for her professionalism, kindness, experience, and, most importantly, patience. This is why her patients cherish her not only as a dentist but also as a friend.
Dr. Nunez stays at the forefront of the latest advances in dental services and technology. Over the years, she has identified a major challenge in the industry: the lack of specialists within many dental offices. They changed the location of my appointment with only two hours notice, which was annoying, and then I ended up waiting for around 40 minutes in the waiting room, and then another 15 in the chair before xrays were done. Then after my appointment I waited close to 15 minutes to speak to the treatment coordinator to arrange a treatment plan for fillings but then she wasn’t even available. The visit overall was fine otherwise, but I felt like I did not need to be at the dentist for 2 hours.

Was not able to see this provider as they do not accept my particular plan with my dental insurance. Zocdoc has this office as accepted by insurance. I received multiple calls and texts from this office in one day even before they knew of my insurance plan issue. Glad I did not end up going here and found another dentist office.

I scheduled a same day appointment for a broken tooth with a level of pain that was increasing over the previous days. I made sure to emphasize it was a serious pain related emergency both in the notes scheduled over ZocDoc and when they called to confirm. I emphasized it once again when I was taken in to be seen.
Despite this, they took xrays and immediately went into sales mode trying to convince me that it's preferable to try and save the tooth & get a root canal and crowns. When I said I just wanted it extracted, the response was to schedule me a week and a half later for the dental surgeon who was apparently unavailable until then. In the meantime, their suggestion was to just alternate between Advil and Ibuprofen every 4 hours for these entire 2 weeks. I felt I was left to pray it doesn't continue to get worse and eventually infect my jawbone in the meantime, and just manage the pain with constant painkillers the entire time. One of the reps there also tried to sell me on the idea to get the top molar which matched the broken one removed, because it "might grow down" into the empty space left by the extracted one. I've never heard anything like this before.
I felt a bit rushed into payment up front for a procedure almost 2 weeks later. The only other appointment for the dental surgeon would be about a month later, so I felt the desperation to take the 2 week appointment.
The next day the tooth was much worse in terms of pain and the gum beginning to swell.
Then a friend of mine mentioned 24hr Emergency Dentists in NYC, which I didn't realize were a thing when I was searching for dentists. When I called WeSmile dental for a refund so I can use that money for the emergency, the person taking the call said that I have to call back tomorrow for the refund, because the owner wasn't there. Then I pressed the issue and was told that not only does nobody in the office have access to give refunds that day, but I would have to wait at least a week to get it.
How can you run a business where there are no managers with access to issue refunds?
They have friendly staff which is wonderful, but it 100% feels like they're more about the income than patient care.

The wait time was long (30+ mins from my scheduled appointment time) and the exam went alright, although it wasn't the most pleasant experience I've had. I did mention an issue I was experiencing at the time, but it was never addressed. Otherwise, the facilities were nice, clean, and proper COVID protocols were followed.

We got there at 1:15 for a 1:30 appointment by 2 I asked if it’s normal to not be seen by your appointment time. I asked if I could expect to be seen soon or by 3pm and the reception couldn’t answer. “It just depends on the procedures happening now. If you want less of a wait time, book an appointment for when we open.” Unprofessional and disorganized business. You should know how long and when procedures are so you can schedule accordingly. It smelled like pancakes; do what you want with that information.
I can’t review the doctor since I didn’t see her. I’m sure she’s wonderful.

Great dentist but the business needs to stick to the schedule, was there for 2hrs, my daughter and I had cleanings. Spend more time with me and my daughter complained that they spend a very short time with her. Wanted us to pay for possible next visit. Not sure if because of covid and security of business, but I never been asked to pay for next visits anywhere, if I come back. My work was done excellent but my daughter is not happy. Little improvement on their schedule and have the insurance information ahead of schedule will help.

The dentist I saw very nice, but the dental practice was questionable. I waited 1hr 15 mins to be seen and then was moved from the room with the dentist and back to reception three times. I don't know if this was related to COVID safe practices or not? I didn't end up leaving the clinic until 2.5 hrs after my original appointment time and all I was having done was a simple cleaning. The people were super nice, but the whole experience was incredibly long and disorganized.

Overall had a great experience with this office. I went in for two separate appointments (cleaning, then back for an exam with the doctor) and I did have to wait quite a while each time since they were busy, but everyone in the office was very accommodating and nice. Once I was seen, everything went very efficiently and smoothly. Will definitely be going back!

Ridiculous wait time. I've been to this practice before and they were adding me in as a new patient. If you do need to go to this practice, make sure you opt out on their phone calls. It's like they're telemarketers.

The wait time was the worst part of it all, but only because I ended up changing the initial procedure I originally scheduled for. I probably wouldn't have minded the long wait if it wasn't so cold either; the A/C was kicking. Saturday is a busy day, so be careful. Once I went in, all was better. Loved the view! Everyone was very helpful in explaining the treatments. It was definitely for my benefit. Most of my family comes here and they're quite happy with the work done. If they trust them, I trust them. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and friendly, and dentists and assistants are professional to the max.
