About Dr. Marra Alcantara

A former teacher for 12 years, Dr. Marra Alcantara, DDS, says “educating patients about their oral health is very important.” She gives her patients the chance to understand what is happening with their dental health, taking time to individually explain the problems and solutions unique to each patient. She brings this philosophy to her up-to-date office, with digital x-rays, cone beam CT and intraoral scanner allowing patients to witness their treatment first hand. Her knowledge, and willingness to educate her patients have set her apart and built her reputation as the dentist “who takes the time to explain things” among her growing number of patients. With this goal in mind she has been practicing since 2007, when she graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry. She completed advanced training in 2008 at the VA Hospital of East Orange, NJ, and has worked as an associate dentist in New Jersey. She is highly skilled in many aspects of dentistry: preventative, restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, pediatric, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry and she continues to enhance her skills through continuing education courses and training. In 2013 she built ProDentalFx, LLC, her private dental office in Jersey City, NJ, and through the past 11 years, Dr. Alcantara has come to be known as one of the most consistently highest rated dental professionals in Jersey City. She has incorporated the latest technology, and assembled a caring and friendly team ready to serve the wide community we live in with the best possible quality dentistry. The practice is environmentally friendly and uses paperless charts, and is amalgam free.
