About Dr. Maryann Riordan

Dr. Riordan is a general dentist who has been practicing in New York City since 2001. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. A New Jersey native, Dr. Riordan is now proud to be called a "Harlemite."
Dr. Riordan is highly trained in all areas of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, especially cosmetic veneers, implant crowns, and porcelain bridges. She is also a certified Invisalign provider. She commits herself to staying on top of the latest developments in the art and science of dentistry by actively participating in continuing education.
She is a member of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and New York County Dental Society. She is an ADA Political Action Team Leader and serves as the representative to Congressman Gregory Meeks of Queens. She also serves on the state board's Committee on Dental Licensure. Dr. Riordan is a member of Brooklyn Tabernacle Church and participates in many community outreach programs.

She is very wonderful and caring person, very professional and knowledgeable with providing dental hygiene/care. I have been back several times and trusted her with my children. Every visit has been a great experience and felt all concerns were address with much attention. This is a person you can truly connect with if you tend to be nervous about going to the dentist. Her staff are also very kind and receptive. They will answer all of your questions or follow up immediately with additional information. My hygienist, Jenny, was so professional and sweet. She talked me through everything she was doing and explained absolutely everything to me. She made my day! Dr. Riordan is incredibly professional and very nice. In fact, the entire staff from reception, to assistants, to the hygienist, to the dentist herself were absolutely wonderful. This is my second appointment with Dr. Riordan and we picked up right from where we left off! It's a great feeling to have a dentist who is familiar with your case and with much detail go over the next steps. She is the first dentist in my life (no exaggeration) to share what my exact situation was. It changed completely how I was treating my mouth. She is quick and efficient with the best bedside manners. Her staff are excellent as well. Highly recommended.

Dr. Riordan was great. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit. The office was amazing scheduling me in the day I called with an emergency-needed visit (even though they were clearly busy). They made appointments for a consult for me while I was in the office.

She goes out of her way to make sure you understand the course of treatment. She's an excellent communicator and really makes the patient feel comfortable. Excellent dentist overall, I just found my new dentist.

Honnestly, I was amazed by the quality of service provided. It was my first visit for about 2 years and she was very patient, careful and on top she took her time to explain me everything. Even though I have to go back for the real consultation I am fully happy with the service. I really feel comfortable with her. An outstanding service is also from the secretary who was so pleasant to work with. Would recommennd her to friend.

So, my appointment was actually with Dr. Abernathy, she was AMAZING, her and the entire staff were super helpful. I usually HATE going to the dentist, and she kept me calm, and my procedure was pain free. I hugged her when we were done, because I never have been to such a great dentist before. I highly recommend this office!

This was my second visit w/ Dr. Riordan and once again I was wowed by the all around service and care. I had to go in for a major filling, mind you, my poor mouth still being quite sensitive due to have 4 wisdom teeth removed just a wk and a half before. She took that into full account and made sure I felt no pain and was as comfortable as possible. I dread any dentist visit, just the sound of the drill causes me to tense up but Dr. Riordan is so assuring with her bedside manner that I felt completely confidant that it would all go smoothly, and it did! Once again, her assistant was great too and the heart of gold at the front desk took the time to break down my treatment plan and cost so I could be fully clear of what to expect and choose the best way to tackle it all without being overwhelmed or stressed. The whole practice is a gem and I would fully recommend Dr. Riordan and her staff to anyone anytime! :)
