About Dr. Matthew Caligiuri
Dr. Matthew A. Caligiuri received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California. He graduated number one in his class in 2010 and entered private practice with his father in Thousand Oaks.
Later that same year, Dr. Caligiuri established a practice in neighboring Van Nuys. In addition to his clinical work, he enjoys the academic side of dentistry and has lectured to the profession both locally and internationally.
In 2018, Dr. Caligiuri was selected as one of the top 40 dentists in the country under 40 years of age by Incisal Edge magazine. This publication honors young dentists who are leaders in their field and help shape the future of the profession.
Dr. Caligiuri is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society. He has joined the faculty at his alma mater as a clinical instructor and enjoys helping shape the education of young dentists-to-be. He has a passion for aesthetic dentistry and stays up to date on the latest techniques and technological advancements in the field to provide cutting-edge, compassionate care for his patients.
Dr. Caligiuri also loves to travel, and over the past several years, he has provided dental health care to underserved patients throughout Southern California and Central America as part of the dental service organization AYUDA.
Born and raised in Thousand Oaks, Dr. Caligiuri is married and has one son. He and his wife lived in downtown Los Angeles for over nine years, but his family now resides in nearby Pasadena. He has a passion for cooking and, in his free time, loves to entertain family and friends.

They were very professional. They would have taken me in faster but I did not complete the forms prior to my appointment so it was a bit delayed by 10 mins or so. However, once I completed the paperwork, they were quick to take me in and begin the consultation. I didn't wait too long to be seen by the assistant and then by the dentist.

ZocDoc was a great option to select an appointment with Environdental, especially after regular business hours (as that’s when life actually slows down enough for me to have a moment). The whole office visit experience was superior and I will continue to go back for my future dental needs!

Overall, I was pleased with my experience. Dr. Caligiuri was attentive and listened to my concerns as a pregnant woman. I didn't feel pressured into extensive testing or additional work like I have at previous offices. I correctly suspected I had some gum issues and a chipped tooth. I came back the same day for a filling and deep cleaning. The staff was so friendly and personable. I'll be going back for part 2 of my cleaning.
