About Dr. Matthew Lee
Dr. Matthew Lee is a New York City native. Dr. Lee then attended the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. When he wasn’t treating patients or working in the lab, Dr. Lee was volunteering at nearby schools to teach elementary and middle school students how to take care of their oral hygiene. He graduated with his DMD in 2021. Upon graduating, Dr. Lee completed his General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens. Dr. Lee believes in life-long learning and actively seeks additional training and certification opportunities to maintain knowledge in the dental profession so that he may provide the best of care for his patients.
When he isn’t in scrubs, Dr. Lee is out golfing, trying different restaurants with his wife Pearl, or taking long walks with their two dogs. Dr. Lee looks forward to meeting his patients and addressing their dental needs in a compassionate manner.

Front desk staff made sure I was aware of any co-pays prior to coming. Dr. Lee and his dental assistants were great.

Two major issues to report:
1) I was taken back to the chair… ultimately to be seen by Dr. Kim — Dr Lee wasn’t even in the building at the time. Dr Kim was very nice and knowledgeable, but really don’t appreciate the switch without notice
2) After a half-hour exchange with the staff over pricing that befuddled me, I’m realizing now that my insurance was being processed as out of network… once again, would’ve loved being told up front it wasn’t in network. Zocdoc had it (Cigna) listed as in-network.
Now needing to figure out how to handle point two. Will be looking for a provider in network through Cigna directly …versus here going forward

Booked an appointment on Zocdoc and narrowed it down to in network provider with my insurance. Called the office in the morning to make sure my insurance was in network and the lady said she didn’t see my appointment because they haven’t gotten to the zoc doc appointments. I was in bad pain and had I gone in and I got not call regarding bc my appointment not being confirmed I would have gotten super enraged. The dentist ended up being out of network and I just don’t understand how if my appointment states it’s booked how they would have to confirm my appointment again.

I recently visit Dr. Lee to address a filling that had come out, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Dr. Lee took time to listen to my concerns and provided excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and his staff!
