Dr. Matthew J. Rowe is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a dedicated periodontist, educator, military officer, and advocate for comprehensive oral health. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Business from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2001. In 2010, he graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He completed his periodontal residency in 2013, receiving a Certificate of Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry with a minor in Oral Pathology. During residency, he twice received the prestigious Dr. Henry Swenson Award for clinical excellence. Dr. Rowe is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is committed to lifelong learning. He regularly participates in comprehensive continuing education in implant placement, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, surgical extractions, tissue grafting, and laser periodontal surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, American Laser Study Club, South Carolina Society of Periodontology, Greater Columbia Dental Association, and Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. He works closely with speech-language pathologists, orofacial myologists, chiropractors, international board-certified lactation consultants, and physicians across state lines to help patients receive comprehensive care.
