About Dr. Maureen Khoo
Dr. Maureen Khoo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. After graduation, she completed a two-year General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn (formerly Lutheran Medical Center), where she was honored to serve as Chief Resident in her second year. After spending well over a decade honing her craft, she decided it was time to open her own office—during a pandemic, no less! She is excited to welcome you to Iro Dental. Iro Dental is focused on patient-centered care, where every patient is heard, understood, and treatment is tailored to their unique needs. Dr. Maureen is a proud Kois graduate and has completed well over 1000 continuing education credits covering implant placement and restoration, TMJ dysfunction, aesthetic dentistry, and full mouth rehabilitation. She is also a certified Invisalign provider.
Please NOTE: All new patient visits are 90 minutes in length (which includes a comprehensive exam, xrays and prophy).

This was the most detailed and comprehensive dental exam I’ve had. I came in with quite a few dental concerns and I really appreciate the care and the attention I received here. Also, it was the best cleaning I’ve ever received - all my stains are gone. Everyone is also super kind, the office is clean and spacious, and it was overall a great experience.

Dr. Khoo was wonderful! I had staining on my teeth that my previous dentist told me was effectively permanent but Dr. Khoo was able to get rid of it during my cleaning easily. I am super happy and couldn’t recommend her more!

It was a great experience and a fantastic and modern office. This is, so far, the best dental clinic I've been at. Doctor Maureen and the staff were extremely helpful, polite, and friendly, making me super comfortable. Extensive diagnosis and analysis so that they could get full detailed information about my situation. They provided all the information I needed, and the process went smoothly. They have a TV and noise-canceling headphones so you can watch Netflix while the Dr. does the cleaning and treatment.

I would recommend this dentist to everyone (and have!). Best experience I could have ask for. The office proactively reached out to me to confirm and share what my insurance covered for the visit. The patient portal was high tech and straight forward.
The office was clean and small. I was the only client during my time block and the experience felt like it was tailored to me. The technology seemed to be top notch. I hadn't gone to a dentist in a couple of years so was very anxious about this visit, but it well exceeded my expectations. Would even look forward to seeing them again in 6 months!

Did not have a pleasant experience. Almost choked with their mouth piece a couple of times. And found out after the fact that they plan on being out of network at the end of the month (after my cleaning!). Feel like they should have said that up front before I went through the intense setup and cleaning.

After going to several dentists in New York and only being able to see the actual dentist for less than 2 minutes per appointment, Dr.Khoo was a breathe of fresh air. Not only did she call me herself ahead of time to make sure she was ready to address any of my concerns, but she also sat with me for over an hour for our first check up. She explained all of the X-rays to me, had this camera that made a computer generated model of my mouth and was very thorough in cleaning my teeth. It was a great experience, and I generally hate going to the dentist. Definitely will continue to see her as long as I live in New York.
Her office also was very nice and new, and she had a TV for me to watch standup comedy while I was getting my teeth cleaned
