About Dr. Medhat Dawoud
Dr. Dawoud is the proud owner of D&G Dental of West Orange and a highly skilled dentist dedicated to providing gentle and effective care for patients of all ages. He opened D&G Dental of West Orange in 2012 due to the growing demand for cosmetic and implant dentistry in the area. After practicing dentistry for the past 11 years primarily in Jersey City, Dr. Dawoud is now ready to serve the Essex County area, where he is a resident himself.
Dr. Dawoud comes from a family of medicine. His father was a surgeon, and among other family members, you’ll find chiropractors, physicians, and dentists as well. He was also drawn to dentistry because as a child, he himself needed braces and quite a bit of dental work, and this made him very self-conscious about his teeth growing up. However, after everything was completed, he felt truly confident about his smile, and it allowed his personality to blossom. He wanted to be able to do that for other people, which eventually led him to enroll in dental school.

Dr. Dawoud was a total pro, accessible and expert. His chairside manner was calming and engaged, especially for an anxiety-producing procedure (a root canal, a bridge and crowns), that instead was long but fascinating.
My new smile especially dazzles because he talked me through every step, including the modern tech.
His assistants, the Nicole and Nicholle and Mary, helped fill in the gaps, again calming and friendly.
Very pleased and yes would recommend to anyone.

This office is absolutely beautiful and clean. The staff @ front desk are friendly & helpful. Dr. D was great, he took the time and explained my treatments and options in treatment. I'm so glad I found this place. I can not wait to go back and start my treatment.

From the moment I walked into the door I felt comfortable. The front desk staff and dentist were efficient, nice, and answered all of my questions & concerns. or someone who is uncomfortable going to the dentist. Run, don't walk to D&G Dental.
