“I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by overall experiences.
Summary: Detailed assessment and cleaning, and clear communications with efficient operations and friendly staffs. It's an exceptional dental practice.
Wait Time: I was called in within 2 minutes after I've completed online form, so there was no wait.
Dentist: Dr. Han is very friendly, very clear about her assessments after exam. I like that she is very precise and efficient communicator, thus really exceptional.
Cleaning: Dental Hygienist, Esther, was the best Hygienist I ever had. Very focused on patients concerns and needs, very thorough jobs and very efficient, responded clearely regarding all questions I had.
I also like the fact I could see very close communications between dental hygienist and dentists, makes it less redundant processes and smooth transition. It allows thorough exam and cleaning while much shorter total required time for me from arrival to the payment, thus saved fair amount of my time.”

Dr. Michelle Han received her dental doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency training at Monmouth Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident. She is an expert in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and has presented cases of advanced digital dentistry at national level. Dr. Han is widely regarded for her gentle approach while delivering beautiful clinical results.
Dr. Han is the mother of two boys who have been flossing their teeth every night since the age of two. She enjoys traveling, surfing, working out, biking around the city, and spending time with her family and friends.

Honestly, I’m only writing a review because as someone who suffers from anxiety when it comes to the dentist this was my best experience yet! The staff from receptionist, to billing specialist, to xray tech was so comforting and thorough and helpful. Thank you guys for a great experience. Maybe now I’ll stop neglecting my teeth and go to the dentist more often. They also have a kids dentist in the same office. Booking my son’s appointment now!

Overall great experience at Lumia Dental! I didn’t meet with Dr. Han, but Dr. Schuback was great. She gave good, objective advice on some of my dental concerns, and it never felt like they were trying to upsell me on anything unlike other dentists I’ve been to in NYC. Stefanie, my dental hygienist, was also amazing and thorough.
They were able to take some scans for an Invisalign consult when I mentioned I was potentially interested, which didn’t add too much time to my appointment, and Archer, the dental assistant, was also awesome. 100% recommend — have already telling my friends about this place!
