About Dr. Melia Abou-Hanna

My name is Dr. Melia Abou-Hanna. I am a board certified general dentist currently practicing in downtown Chicago. My journey began with acquiring my degree from Bradley University where I found the ever growing connection between physics and modern medicine. I then went on to pursue my dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. There, I found that I have a passion for all areas of dentistry, and was determined to become a well rounded general dentist capable of providing a large range of dental care to my patients. I decided to pursue advanced training in general dentistry leading to my enrollment at Columbia University’s AEGD program following my graduation from dental school. During my advanced training year, I cared for patients from all walks of life coming from Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx boroughs. It was there that I broadened my scope of practice and found a passion for full-scope dentistry. I found my main interests lying in esthetics, extractions, and root canal therapies. After practicing in private practice in the New York and New Jersey area, I felt a pull to be closer to home and spend more quality time with family. It is with great pleasure to be serving my Illinois community and give back to the state that raised me.
