Dr. Melody Mafa is dedicated to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for her patients, empowering them to feel healthier and more confident about their smiles. Dr. Mafa earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since graduating, she has served patients nationwide, working in multiple states before deciding to run her private dental practice, Bliss Dental Clinic, in the greater Philadelphia region. She has continued her education through additional coursework and, by practicing alongside some of the most revered dentists in the industry, has gained specialized knowledge of today’s most transformative cosmetic dental procedures and oral surgeries.

I waited for an hour after signing in and speaking to the front desk and getting my X-rays done. The staff seemed nice enough. Only one staff member came into my room once to let me know that the dentist was with the previous patient and that that was taking longer than anticipated. When the dentist did come in and I mentioned how long I had been waiting she did apologize but it didn’t seem genuine. She was professional and polite but it didn’t settle with me. She also mentioned that my treatment plan would have to take place in 2 parts instead of one part. And I didn’t like the idea of that either. I kindly left and I will not be going back. I would like to go somewhere where my time will be respected.

It's a black owned business with a cultural staff with modern decor giving a welcoming feel with modern equipment unfortunately the dentist is my least favorite place but they ease my mind and are informative the entire time and work well with eachother and do a great job taking care of my teeth!

Absolutely, THE BEST dental visit and exam I’ve had in my 35yrs of “dentaling”. Environment was impeccable; front desk women were AMAZING. Each time I called, the people who answered were always so professional and courteous. The Dental Assistant offered GREAT ENERGY each time he engaged with me. Dr. Mafa was KNOWLEDGABLE and PATIENT. My follow-up appointment was scheduled at the end of my exam; and it was for a WEEK LATER. Just an overall GREAT EXPERIENCE! Oh! And they offer your choice of visual MUSIC as you wait in your exam room. Come on, really!? Just great. Now here’s the bad news…
My employment insurance is an HMO plan and BLISS DENTAL isn’t in their network. What a bummer! Loved it so much, I am in the process of changing my dental insurance. Looking forward to scheduling my follow-up appointment.

My initial thought was, this can't be a dentist office. It's set up inside of a duplex type living. Once inside the place just amazes you, very clean environment to be in. The staff were very attentive and answered all questions that I had. The provider herself checked me in and got me started on my paperwork right away. The rooms are set up with state of the art equipment and you get your own personal television to watch while being operated on. I am happy with my new dentist and would recommend this establishment to any and everyone.

Amazing staff and dentist. Sunny the therapy dog sat on my lap for my whole cleaning. I’ve never felt so listened to by a dentist! Dr. Mafa explains everything she’s going to do before she does it, and didn’t try to push unnecessary treatments. This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to.
