About Dr. Michael DeSivo
Dr. Michael DeSivo is a dedicated dental practitioner offering patients gentle care with skill and attention to detail. Dr. DeSivo completed his undergraduate studies at Molloy College, and continued his education earning a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. DeSivo pursued and achieved certification in Invisalign while completing a year long general practice residency through the Winthrop University Hospital. His years of education and training allow him to offer skilled care that meets the needs of every patient he treats.
Outside of his regular work, Dr. DeSivo also volunteers his time and talents with many community dental health organizations and events. He has provided dental care to underserved communities partnering with the Buffalo Outreach and Community Assistance Club, on mission trips to Jamaica, and as part of the Give Kids a Smile program.

Appointment was at 3pm. Got x rays from the tech. Then sat there in the chair with techs coming in and out of the room without saying a word to me. Finally at about 4pm I got up, went to the front desk and told them it had been an hour since my appointment time and I hadn’t seen the dentist yet. Of course they used the “we had three emergencies” excuse. No one let me know anything while I was waiting. Anyone could have said, “so sorry, the dentist is running behind “ or something. The dentist finally shows up. No measuring of gum depth, just a quick Look and says everything looks fine. I’ll bet he didn’t look at the x rays. I think I’ll get my cleaning here and find another dentist office that communicates effectively and values patients.

Everyone at the office couldn't have been nicer. I was a few minutes late and they didn't give me any grief about it. I was seen right away and treated with the utmost care. When I admitted to only brushing my teeth once a day and not flossing, I wasn't reprimanded or talked down to as I have been at other dental offices. The whole process was explained thoroughly from the cleaning to the x-rays to the pictures taken of my teeth. A screen was presented with all the pictures and in depth explanations were given of what everything meant and what the issues were. Both the assistant and the dentist were incredibly kind and very informative. I have never felt so at ease at a dentist office before. Plus there are baskets to choose something to take with you at the end that not only had toys for children but practical items for adults as well. Also the office looked pristine and well kept clean and sterilized, which goes to show how much everyone there cares about everything being kept in order. I can't rave enough about what a positive experience I had here.
