About Dr. Michael Moody

Dr. Moody completed his dental education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and graduated with distinction. After graduation, he pursued additional training in Prosthodontics and Hospital Dentistry at the Veterans Hospital Dental Clinic in Portland, OR. During his residency, Dr. Moody had extensive training in rehabilitating complex dental problems for patients with compromised medical conditions.
Dr. Moody enjoys and excels at creating relationships with patients and guiding them on a journey to optimum oral health. He truly loves dentistry and strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for staff and patients. Dr. Moody believes dental care and outcomes are improved in an environment of trust and rapport.
During his time out of the office, you can find Dr. Moody exploring the beautiful state of Oregon and teaching dental residents at the Va Hospital. His hobbies include rock climbing, paddle boarding, and hiking with his best friend Cooper. Cooper is an adorable (and smart) Bernedoodle who is quite popular on Dr. Moody’s social media platform. Lastly, Dr. Moody appreciates the culinary offerings in Portland and is a great resource for recommendations.

Dr. Moody & his team provided me with the best dental care I've ever received. I had old fillings replaced by Dr. Moody and it was so smooth, I couldn't even feel it! The staff is very friendly and the location is great - they even have dedicated parking spots! I recommend that everyone go to Uptown Family Dental.

My visit with Kristen & Dr. Moody was extremely smooth and stress-free. They always make sure that I am comfortable, clearly explain what they’re doing and what it means and do it in timely manner. Dr. Moody has also previously fixed and issues for me that a few other dentists could not. Highly recommend Uptown Family Dental.
